Just read "The Catcher In The Rye" again for the first time in about 20 years. Damn fine piece of work!

I've decided to give Russian authors another shot. Currently about half way through Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov.

I've picked up my copy of "The Romance of Lust" for another perusal. Truly a great work of literature.

Dumas Malone's six-volume bio of Jefferson.

Currently two-thirds of the way through the 4th volume (The President: First Term)

Just re-read the Andy Kaufman book written by Bob Zmuda. Andy Kaufman REVEALED! BEST FRIEND TELLS ALL!! It's a great book. So cool to hear about the things you already know, but to read about all the stuff they did just for fun is even better. Guy was a genius.....

After I finally get through the Jefferson books (now into book #5), I may decide to shave time off Purgatory by re-reading the "Dune" series. Ther first three books were good, but everything after that was just sheer torture...I kept reading them as Herbert's son kept churning them out in vain hope that they'd improve.

At least I always waited 'til they were out in paperback so I wouldn't waste TOO musch $$$...

I'm also thinking of reading Foote. He was good in the Burns Civil War documentary, and recently I read an article he wrote castigating Cormac McCarthy for his violent prose...bwaaaa.
