Hey Killian......Kiper on Brady Quinn

Killian,

After I projected Brady to drop to #7 (Minnesota), you said there's no way in hell he'd drop that far. Well, I guess I'm not the only one that has him dropping because Kiper now has projected him to go to Miami at #9. I actually think what's going to happen is Minnesota will take him or Miami will try and trade up ahead of Minnesota to get him. I think the Vikings will plan on taking someone like Dwayne Jarrett or Ted Ginn Jr but then Quinn will be available at #7 and they won't be able to pass up on him. So I do not completely agree with Kiper on him dropping to #9 (although it is possible), but I think it's very unlikely he ends up in the Top 5.

Yeah, I saw that. Still doubt it happens.

I will say this, I think that if he does drop, whoever gets him late in the Top 10 is going to get a steal. Somebody with a need for a QB really should trade up to get him. If I were Cleveland, I'd do everything I could to trade out of that spot. There would be too much value. I guarantee you a team like Miami would be more than willing to trade up to get him if the Browns even bluffed at the thought of taking him. Personally, I'd like to see Kansas City trade up but doubt that happens. Maybe send Trent Green and our #22 pick to Cleveland along with a 3rd rounder for their #3 pick although I doubt Cleveland would take that trade. Quinn would be a great fit in Kansas City. He could sit behind Damon Huard next year and learn the offense and then take over in 2008. I'm not sold on Brody Croyle, and I'd much rather have Quinn as the future QB.

Last I heard Jarrett is dropping, I just hope he drops all the way to Tennessee.

Why would Jarrett drop? USC receivers are never a bust once they go pro.

:meds:

ps Steve Smith will be a better WR in the league than Jarrett

Maybe Keyshawn Johnson's assessment of Jarrett not being a physical WR and that he should have stayed in school for another year are correct.

Regardless if they're correct or not, when an alumni bashes you, then it doesn't look good on you. Unless Keyshawn is just trying to stay the best WR from USC. Neither would surprise me.
