Have to admit that I'd rather watch Young play than Rivers or McNair. Not that he's better, just that we've all seen Rivers and McNair a hundred times and know what they can do.

And by this you mean what they can't do.

SD obviously can't rely on Rivers to win the game when LT can't get it done. And McNair is on the back end of a "fair" career. Without Baltimore's D he wouldn't have looked nearly as good.

I know the game is meaningless but it sure is going to be a great experience for him to be there.

BTW who was the last rookie QB to make the pro bowl?

Did he really "Make the Pro Bowl?" I mean, basically, his opponent went on a 7-ball run and then scratched on the 8-ball.

Next years football card will say All Pro :D

he was named an alternate and Rivers couldn't go so he is in. I'll take it none the less.

WTF is with Rivers? Is he slowly turning into the next Cryin' Ryan?

I'm starting to wish we had Brees back.

When you say a hundred times, did that mean the 158 games McNair played in combined with the 16 Rivers started in?

Rivers isn't a rook, but he don't have much on FJ as far as experience is concerned.

Oh, and Vito, your mancrush is getting worse and worse. It's worse than jon and his boytoy Hansen. Your obsession with starting threads about FJ is bordering on m2ool and his threads about Kal. Sheesh...

I was thinking more like Babs and Charlenne Rodgers.

That one too. He's even a self admitted non fan of the NFL yet he's hoping Jarrett slides in the draft so Tennessee can get him as an option for FJ. Come on now...

Yeah....silly me for not doing the research and presenting factual numbers in the post I spent 8 seconds typing.

My god, you guys are already saying the Chargers can't win with Rivers or comparing him to Ryan Leaf? Good fucking god, it's his first year at QB. This is the NFL......it takes time to develop at that position. And saying McNair had a "fair" career. No, Brad Johnson has had a "fair" career. McNair has had a very good if not great career. He's just a former MVP that was amongst the best QB's in the NFL for about 6-7 years. That's a damn good career for a quarterback in that league.

As an Oilers/Titans fan, I'll say McNair had a "fair" career. I would only use the word great to describe McNair if you followed it up with dissapointment.

Over 30,000 passing yards and probably about 4,000 rushing yards, an MVP, and multiple All-Pro honors is better than "fair." He had a very good career. I think injuries are the difference between a very good and a great career.

Yeah, Jaws was great too...and he had a Co-MVP that should have been all Peyton's.

Uhhh....take what? You get a percentage? Highly doubt it. Just be happy he is having some success. New QBs usually do when there isn't much film on them. Now that defenses have film to study I would bet that he has a sophmore slump.

Vince Young is overrated.

Chris Leak will own the NFL next year.

If any aggsy did what Vince did your lips would own a condo on his man meat.

I bring it up because of all the crap passed out last year that he would never make it in the NFL. Well he is the only rookie QB in NFL history to play in the Pro Bowl. And it is pretty well agreed that he lead a team (that couldn't beat Oakland without him) to an 8-8 season.
