IT'S DIVISION ONE FOOTBALL! IT'S THE BIG-12!!! GO PLAY INTRAMURALS, BROTHER.
What a nutcase.
I think there is a tie here between Mike Stoopid and Dan "Get me back to Boise" Hawkins for two things:
1. Stressed out human beings
2. Need for anger management classes
3. Jerks who probably mistreat their players
They both remind me of guys like Woody Hayes and Jerkoff Knight. Sooner or later they will pop in public in some inappropriate manner and lose their jobs.
I must have listened 50 times already.
Cant stop laughing!
GO PLAY INTRAMURALS, BROTHER!
Sounds like Swayze's character Bodie on Point Break.

So humor has a time table in your world?
Like I said... you really dont have much of a sense of humor.

It was amusing the first time. After that, no, it's not funny.

Dude was over-the-top but I agree with the sentiment. If they don't want to play big-time college footbal they need to take a hike.

I'll second that notion. So he got a little excited...he better do something to get his players motivated after last year's start. And damn right, they get a month off, thats more vacation than I get. If they want to be regular college students, let them pay their own tuition. However, if they want a free ride and want to get all the other perks of playing DI football buck up.

Did it hurt your head? Thinking that is.
Yet, you went ahead and typed out the person's
nic and added "you continue to be a fucking idiot"... then you hit submit. lol!

I guess you just "misspoke" huh? lol!!!
From now on you'll be referred too in the
College Football Forum... as "SkyMcKnight".
You earned it.
and the "bright lights" of the College Football Forum... keep burning.

I'm guessing... being known as "Fellatio", would be just a tad worse.
Being called an idiot by retards?
Or being known as someone who enjoys the taste of a "pole" every once in awhile?

Just as you "misspoke" about selling wind chimes for a living. No...wait...that's for real.

Windchime salesmen are highly respected individuals in many communities. It's an underrated profession.

Yes, indeed. Many communities...
Okay, bear with me... I'm going to try to tie a lot of shit together with just one GIS.
Such as this one:
And this one...
If you look really closely in the background of the second pic, you'll MClub showing the villagers how to hate tOSU, but to respect and fear windchime salesmen.
I made that up. Honestly, I'm so f'ing high off of Ny-Quil right now that I forgot what I was posting about in the first place, and I'm too lazy to scroll up. I'm going back to watch some more of The Departed. How this movie doesn't have an intermission, I'll never know.

I agree.
Unfortunately, I can't say I fall into that category.
Now, if you were to say designer and manufacture... that would be much more accurate.
Like I've said in the past... it's un-american too not have a "windchime"!!!
Just take a drive around your fine sub-division this afternoon and look at all those fine model homes and see how many good americans are out there amongst us.
You may be suprised.
God bless America... and even Iowa and Indiana.

I was listening to Mike & Mike on the way to work this morning. They had this sound byte on there. They said it happened in a press conference yesterday. They kept claiming how if it iwas Bob night saying this, it would be the lead on Sportscenter today.
Once again...ESPN shows how fucking stupid they are.
I have Sirius Satellite in the car. Is there a deece sports talk show out there? I'm fucking sick of M&M.

Heard the same thing. Maybe ESPN just learned about it yesterday, but we've known about it for 4 days now. Fuckers. They'll probably have a story on how they were the first to break the news.
In regards to his rant, I don't see anything wrong w/ it. They went 2-10.

That is exactly what Golic said word for word, parrot. ;)
But yeah, I have no problem with it. If it were my team, I'd be happy he is a hardass. That's what the kids need, especially in a program who completely lost all institutional control. Something needs to bring it back to reality.

CU had a decent, but huge class. good for coming off 2-10 in a season that had to make you wonder out loud *just how outmatched* was Hawkins staff in the Big XII. they were like a different team every week....going for it 4th down 4 times in a game and then never a week later. big game out of the TE position in a win, TE doesn't touch the ball for a couple weeks.
but we'll see. up close, i'm starting kinda think Hawkins is a nutjob and there's no doubt he really REALLY likes to talk about himself. i think they'll continue to improve but their gameday coaching last year was TERRIBLE. until they do it on the field, Hawkins *may be* all gimmick IMO. His coach's show was truly bizarre week-in, week-out. Guy talks like he's re-inventing the wheel, sliced bread and writing all the songs on Sgt. Peppers in his spare time. he makes good times Rick's days here look like the Junction Boys sometimes. Just like with Rick, the kids are buying in....but, you start losing games and the "buy in" factor for all the fun and games stuff starts to waver.
I could be wrong, but i live about 200 yards from the CU practice fields.
http://www.theoneboard.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=22385
my pre-quote post about Hawkins from last Thursday. and, if he doesn't win some games, he's the one gonna be in intramurals. the CU fanbase has two modalities: blind jesus devotion and abject scorn. the decent recruiting class has them back in the BJD camp....but it won't take much (like another loss to CSU) for the bad schizos to want blood.
anyway. i'm not sure Hawkins is a hardass. he just talks alot. some speculation here that the presser quote sounds *a little bit too* rehearsed. the guy is a helluva drama queen......he may be a helluva football coach too......but, that remains to be seen. to be fair, reports are they are making some serious progress in team strength....like i say: they were a disaster to watch last year.

It's Division 1 Football!
It's the Big XII.
And you know what we're gonna do next?
We're going to Ames.
Then we're going to Omaha.
We're going to Stillwater.
Then we're going to Lubbock.
And then to Waco.
And to College Station.
And to Austin.
And to Norman.
And to Lawrence.
And to Manhatten.
And then we're going to Columbia to take back the Big XII Championship!
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!
Dan Patrick called him the Howard Dean of CFB.

I caught a little of Patrick’s show on the way back from lunch, when he had Rick Reilly on talking about the SI Swimsuit Issue. Rack the Breast Wrangler and Françoise the Butt Duster.

I love how Rick Reilly writes one 700 word column a week and still wins National Sportswriter of the Year.

Same way Bob Costas wins Sports Commentator all the time with very limited appearances outside of HBO.

Frisco,
Two questions:
1. If you have Sirius, why are you listening to Mike & Mike? You can listen to them for free. Thanks to Howard 100 and, to a lesser degree, Hard Attack, I didn't even hear this quote until I opened this thread. As far as you question about good sports talk on Sirius, Ferrall isn't bad if you can get past his Arnie-Spanier-on-crack delivery.
2. Why would the Buffs be going to Omaha?

1. I don't get ESPN Radio here in the sticks. We used to get it out of Evansville, but they went off the air. So what station is Ferrall on?
2. Doh! I meant Lincoln. I am already thinking about College Baseball.

Sorry for the late reply. Ferrall is on Howard 101 on weeknights. 8pm-11pm EST, I think.
