So one of our local sports writers does his best sportstalk show hosts, play by play guys, and color guys every year and this week he did color commentators. He gave me an honorable mention. So then the radio station I do the football games for puts this little page together......

Do you actually enjoy doing HS football or are you trying to make your way up to the college/pro ranks? I covered HS football in Iowa for the past couple years and just don't care for it so probably will not do it next year. High school football just bores me.

JON, I love doing it but I know so many people who are in the sports production business that who knows where it may take me. I'm 42 years old and have been a teacher for 17 so it's not like I'm going to quit teaching and pursue a dream. My wife and 4 kids don't really want to move to bumfuck anywhere....nor do I for that matter.
