Yes, that group of folks who collectively get as much ass as jtr, the trekkies are on.

them fukkers even had an auction. A fukking flute went for 40K. I'll bet the whole lot of them coulda bought hookers for less. Probably would have went into the guiness books as the largest mass deflowering evah.

Dumbfukks.

Nice touch there, R-Jack. May a certain Vulcan snap your collar bone. "Fascinating, my bad."

Meanwhile, the trekkers are setting up for...

Saw the show that Smackaholic is referring to ... for those who haven't seen, it's about Paramount auctioning off all of its significant Star Trek shit ... thousands of items -- from uniforms to captain's chairs, to all kinds of props from all of the movies and all of the series, even the original from the late '60s. Fairly interesting documentary (with bits of some producer's idiotic ideas of "entertainment" thrown in), and some cool shit, if you had $200-500K or so, especially for the really unusual stuff like the lighted, huge models of the ships and space stations used for the shows/movies, given that pretty much everything now is CGI and models are rarely, if ever, used anymore.

That being said, Christie's, which held the Auction in NYC last October, is now selling limited edition box-set catelogs of the auction items for $500 a pop.

Yes, that link is for sales of the "limited edition, box-set" catalog, and a two-volume just plain catelog. You have to hand it to Christie's for marketing the most out of that sale, months after it's over.

The 'bode of the one Christie's outweighs the 'bode of the many myopic.

Like any other major auction, most folks who bought anything of significance in NYC last fall likely already had a copy of the catalog, so there likely would be little need for it, "along with other items."

A gun can be just like a phaser, since you mentioned it, Todd. Just point it at your head and say to yourself, "It's set for stun." You can do this. We're all still counting on you.
