c'mon, hasn't lived up to ability?
the guys knee was shredded, he has had some great games, while having a bunch of putrid qb's running the offense. No rb would survive those turds behind center.
calling out the city was a pussy move.

From the article I linked above:
McGahee didn't spend any time in Buffalo last offseason learning the new playbook under coach Dick Jauron. The Bills are expecting more of the same this offseason.
"Willis literally didn't know what to do on the plays," a source said. "After the play was called, we'd have another coach signaling to Willis what to do because he didn't know. He'd miss blocks [in pass protection] a few times, not because he was beat, but because he didn't know what he was doing.
"He just doesn't study. … His teammates noticed it, and it affected how they viewed him in the locker room."

So was the incredible spin job that his agents forced him to publicly put out, claiming that his statements were taken completely out of context. For some reason it hadn't occurred to him that a porn mag might actually print the disparaging crap he said about Buffalo. Or maybe he didn't think that Buffalo football fans read Penthouse.
Toss in the allegations that he's yet another NFL bastard factory.
Oh, and that his backup played as well, if not better, than him this past season.
He's either gone or going to get an ego-check via a reduced role in 2007.

Pretty much. He's got first round ability and a 12th round brain. If nobody takes him via trade, I'd use his sorry ass as a human tackling dummy in practice until the "best back in the NFL" (just ask him) got the message that he's not too good to open up his playbook. Seriously, I've seen revolving doors that block better than McGahee.

Actually, it's the turds alongside the center that have been the bigger problem. Mike Williams out front told me so.
The Bills have to dump McGahee somehow, or face a public relations backlash of monstrous proportions. Unfortunately for them, his trade value is next to zero. He's also a free agent after next season.

McGahee is a straight up, classless a-hole.
A hell of a lot of people have played in Buffalo, and yeah, western NY isn't a cultural hotspot, but it was good enough for guys like Jim Kelly and Steve Tasker to make it their homes even after retirement. McGahee is a frigging ingrate.
Instead of looking at it as "that kid shredded his knee, made a hell of a comeback, and expects more," the reality IS: the Bills took a HUGE chance on a kid who was unproven after a devastating injury and took a LOT of flack for it at the time. They did the same thing for Thurman Thomas, and it paid off. McGahee is no Thurman Thomas....and never will be.
