Maybe you can meet up with Bobby42 at a bar. He can bring a briefcase full of printed-out yahoo newslinks to read to you.

Adel
are you staying downtown?
plenty of Arena District nightlife, short cab ride to German Village for BEER and grub and a little longer cab ride up to Campus for all of THE bars (Buckeye Hall of Fame Cafe is cool for us Mature folk).

That applies only here, shitheads.
If you're in the Arena District check out the Elevator or Hyde Park restaurant. Both are on North High Street nearby. Great steaks. There's Eddie George's place in the south campus area and Champs off SR-315 south of Ohio Stadium.
If you were in town this weekend you would probably check out the Arnold Classic events at Veteran's Memorial, Nationwide Arena and the Columbus Convention Center.

went by osu today, got to see the "shoe" pretty fuckin cool, the entrance, with the vaulted type ceiling was old school at its finest, will be taking some pics later this week or next week.
not impressed by the chicks, seen more quality and better looks at columbia during school hours. i'll give them a pass, will be going by tomorrow, so ill take another looksie
any casinos near columbus? feel like playing some craps and some no limit holdem. a ton of horse tracks around here.
oh well, not a bad city, a guy told me we were in a bad part of town, and it looked like we were in the burbs. when i hear bad part, i expect bruthas, bars on windows, strip malls boarded up, and the churches have bars on the windows. Definately not my ideal of bad part of town. take a gander at east st.louis, north st.louis(city),and north county, looks like someone dropped a bomb. Those are bad parts of town!
hey, these pizza places any good? don sumthing? looks like a fast food joint, but has pizza and delivers.
i also found a arthurs treachers, old school at its finest. good food 2 decades + ago.

No casinos in Columbus. Blame previous governor for that. Meanwhile, you have to drive to Indiana or Michigan to play the slots.
You won't see any fine women in Cbus in March, especially in the area you're visiting. Go the Easton or anywhere with $$$.
Nice you haven't found any "bad areas" yet but they're out there. Don't go checking out the near east side or South Linden.

Adel you got Detroit that has 3 casinos which is probably what 3-3.5 hours away...or there are riverboats in Indiana but just not sure of location...
try Donato's, and I remember some of the great pizza places when I was in school there...Gumby's, Catfish Biffs, and Adriatico's...probably not there anymore...but hey...
as Bobby said check out Buckeye Hall of Fame cafe...really cool and deece food...

we're hitting rachels saturday night.
looks like a trip to beaulah for sunday, monday or tuesday, whenever they have live racing.
was hoping the college echl tourney was at OSU, would of been cool to get ready for frozen 4, when its in st.louis this year.
Any good bars on campus? near campus?

As for campus bars, 88 mentioned probably the best one (Out 'R Inn). I remember the days of the Spot Bar, Panini's South & Sloopy's but those are long gone, now replaced with Gateway. Try out The Thirsty Scholar over off of Lane & Neil, they got some good food to go with the beers. Scarlet & Gray Cafe ain't bad either. Ledo's is just north of campus on High Street, good place to play darts. Varsity Club has very underrated pizza.
Non campus bars:
- Victory's (Brewery District)
- Frog Bear Wild Boar (Arena)
- Brothers
- B Hampton's
- Adobe Gilas (Easton)
- Bar Louie
- Long Street bars
Places to Eat - just off the top of my head - wish I could get back:
- Schmidt's Sausage Haus (German Village)
- Mohawk Restaurant (GV)
- Japanese Steak House (High St downtown)
- Penn Station
- Skyline Chili
- King Gyros
- Appollo's (although the old Greek Village kicked its ass)
- Tommy's Pizza (there's two and both are good)
- Ted's Montana Grill
- Plank's Bier Garten Pizza
- Nancy's Home Cooking
- Thurman's (get the giant burger)
- Old Bag of Nails Pub
- El Vaquero
- Ohio Deli (South High St)
- WG Grinder's
- Rusty Bucket

Old Bag of Nails Pub on East Broad at Nelson burnt down two weeks ago.
If your going to the east side check out the Bexley Monk on Main Street. Thursday night is jazz night.
Mitchell's Steak House downtown at 3rd and Broad is another go place to be on Thursday evenings..
If you're going to the horse races in Grove City check out Vito's Place on Broadway just down the street

i'm going to have to rack the cbus experience
i lost my as at beulah park, betting the simucast shit, fuck running 2nd all day.
but, the city is ok, been having a good time, bar in hotel is cool, many strippers and call girls attend nightly, have to rack the racks.
still say, better looking chicks at OU. Ohio University.
fuck the inbreds from west virginia, was almost in 2 major accidents because of a 1967 ford truck with wv plates doing 45 on the highway in a pouring rain, and stopping in middle of highway to miss a puddle in road! i actually hope on the new bridge to west virginia from ohio, they send a shit load of explosives, to keep the necks away! you can tell at OU, whos from wv and from ohio!
2 more weeks in cbus. have tickets to blues-jackets for sunday(2 weks) and have tickets to SIU game! rack hitting the scalpers early.!
