Thank You Al Thornton

The man kept FSU on life support today.
45 points vs. miami. One shy of the school record. He couldve had it but was classy and just let the clock run out.
The senior certainly has made his case for ACC Player of the Year.
I doubt FSU will get into the dance. Especially after last years screw job.
But with a resume that includes wins over Duke and Florida and a possible good showing in the ACC tourny(Semi's or Championship). I dont see why they shouldnt be dancing.
So what is everybody's take on FSUs chances? I know they are slim but how slim. Are they completely fucked or still have a shot?

I think they have to win two in the ACC Tourney to make it. 7-9 in Conference but the ACC is top to bottom the best conference in America, so if they can win at least two in Tampa, they will get in IMO.
That being said, I dont see them winning two games. They will be in the NIT again this year.

I never said they will get fucked over. FSUs chances are slim to none. Losing 5 in a row in the last 7 would kill anybody.
they had no reason to be selected last year, they were an average team. they were taking quality with the last picks, which is why they took george mason, northern iowa, bradley, etc boy, those selections were bad, fla st got jobbed.
How did your brackets go last year? Let me guess, you didnt have any of those fuckers doing that well. At the time of the selections, it looked like a fuck over. I can pull up old posts of people, other than me, saying this.
BTW, I never said they deserve to be in now. They need to do well in the ACC tournament, otherwise no they dont deserve it. With Douglas back, its possible but not likely.

Yes tard B-ball started in 2000, just like the 2006 college football season started on January 9, 2007.
FSU was playing for championships long before the gates.

Where did I say they were getting fucked? They didnt deserve to get in last year and if they dont get in this year it will be their own fault for losing 5 straight down the stretch.
I do think though if they win two in ACC Tourney that they will get in.

I don't see how any of this concerns Duke.

How so?
Did College Sports start in 1996? Wait no that is College Football. College Basketball started in 2000.
Congrats trix, your team won one ncaa tournament and it was against the weakest final four of all time. That puts yall right up there with UCLA in basketball lore, right?
BTW, "Little Brother Syndrome"? Werent you the first one to jump in here after seeing a obvious thread about FSU by an FSU poster?

Thornton finishes 2nd in ACC PoY voting.
Cant argue w/ it really. Dudley's team out perfomed FSU's.

Dudley's TEAM out performed FSU.
Al out performed Dudley.
If we were ranking teams, I definately give the nod to BC. But players....Al had better numbers than dudley with less time on the court. BTW, Dudley led the ACC in time played.
In ACC play per Warchant.com:
PPG: Thornton 23.5 (1st), Dudley 19.5 (5th)
RPG: Thornton 8.8 (1st), Dudley 8.4 (3rd)
Hopefully Al will use this and lead FSU on a magical run to the Semi's or Finals of the ACC tournament.
Ps. Its PLAYER of the year, not TEAM of the year.

I think Al was the best player, but he didnt win it. I was just giving my opinion on why they voted the way they did.
Dudley had a great year as well. I cant sit here and say Al was the Unanimous Choice. On Warchant I keep reading that people are pointing out that Dudley played 8 more minutes a game than Al. Well, I think that is a reason why he won. Sure, if Al played as many minutes he would have had better stats, he might have not. Who knows if Al was conditioned enough to play all those minutes?

Says who and how do you actually define that? You can't. It's just your little way to try and cheapen something that FSU will never do. That's okay.....its a symptom of the syndrome.

They give teams seeds. I definately could be wrong but I am pretty sure that is the weakest final four of all-time. The average seed was a 5.
"FSU will never do".....okay yeah if you believe that the world will end in 2012 then you may be right. But I am pretty sure FSU has been in the NCAA tournament before and done pretty well. Not saying they will ever do that well again but anything is possible.
The gates have only been to the NCAA tournament 13 times and have 1 title. nope not seeing this big brother thing.

Does it matter? They are NATIONAL CHAMPIONS. You cannot cheapen no matter how hard you try. And you trying to call it teh weakest final four is just that. Do you deny it?

actually my bracket was fine, i was in vegas betting bradley, bucknell, and pacific on the money lines, not only to cover the line, but i bet them to win the game outright. then add in witchy st. who i also played, ya know, cause i watched the teams play and knew they could manhandle the teams from the power conferences. i also had some losers, a florida guy talked me off betting gators every game, oh well.
fsu would of been ass fucked till the cum dried by any of the teams selected as at large bids. i have no agenda or ill will to fsu basketball, but they deserved nothing last year. this year is the same.
out from cbus

You’re the bleeding twat who bid a sobbing goodbye to the NFL forum after a rather entertaining beatdown, and you’re questioning someone else’s maturity? Might be time to put away the keyboard, Trixie.

Al had 25-11 in a one point win this afternoon.
He needs to have a huge game tomorrow against UNC to have a chance.

Hey Hey Hey...He got run from the College Football Forum first. The NFL forum was his "safehouse."
Ps. Adel, FSU was 5th in the ACC last year. Most every year, 5th in the ACC will get you dancing. That is why I said we got screwed last year. I never said FSU would win the damn thing or would do shit in the tournament.
Pss. I feel FSU is a win away from the NCAA Tournament.

Why must you constantly be a douche bag? Seriously. I didnt think they would win that game today but I was hoping it would be closer. Thornton will be a Lottery Pick BTW. Too bad they couldnt beat UF this year, oh wait...
FSU is NIT bound, again.
