That cross is cool and I like the name in the Celtic font.

Who is the tattoo in honor of?

Great.

Get 5 or 6 more of 'em zapped on your flesh.
Shoe polish your body.
Grow your dick 5 inches longer.

I'm a Knick, mom!!!!

If you have to have a tat--
I would have one smaller like mine so
it wouldn't show under a short-sleeve
shirt or T.
just sayin'

For a design like his, I don't think you can go small or you lose some of the detail. Certainly you can go smaller and less detailed but I can't fault someone with ink in honor of any family members or close friends. Those tattoos have meaning and not the cliche tribal bands or barbed wire that everybody seems to get. It's a form of a expression and non one should tell another person how to express themselves.

Nice tat I guess, if you're into that sorta' thing. Myself, I've never felt any desire to have my body painted, but maybe that's just me.

You about a hairy looking mother fucker there, Marley. Does your wife shave your back for you?

Sure I can tell them that how they express themselves forever marks them as a dumbass. They don't have to listen, but I can say it.

MEMO: unless you have served in the military, then a tat looks stupid on you.

What does having served in the military have to do with it? It still makes you look stupid, regardless. I served, and nope, there's no rule that says you have to get a tattoo.

Yeah, it is real fresh to have something in Gaelic PERMANENTLY on you. OK, your daughter's name, I kinda get that. But Gaelic?

I'd rather not look like Mexican street gangs, but hey, if you want to, ink it up baby.

If that's your thing, fine but I can think of better ways to honor my daughter. As for body "art" I always ask, "Would you hang that on your wall?" No? But you would hang it on your body...permanently.

And military guys? Ever seen the 80-year old dude at the health club with a big eagle, anchor, or hooker on his forearm? Looks kind of silly. Permanent ink and senior citizens not a good mix.

I'd have found a way to incorporate that patch of hair underneath 'Maingeal.' Perhaps take some flames to it and make it The Burning Bush?

Considering the fact that I (and my daughter) are PERMAMNENTLY Irish and the saying means something to me- then Yes.

Yeah... I know. LOL My wife tried to get em to wax on various occasions.. I told her- I'll wax if you explore a 3some with a hot redhead... Since it is always no to that- its always no to the wax

Hah!

Maybe your wife just doesn't trust redheads. Suggest a hot blonde next time, and tell her that you don't believe she's a real blonde.

I think you could have "honored" your daughter by putting the jack you spent on the tat into her college fund.

I also think you could have invested the dough replacing the skirting on your trailer.

Street gangs, Mexicans, bartenders, prisoners, strippers, carnies, and NOW YOU have tattoos. Outstanding, props, enjoy.

You're Irish? I thought you were American. Guess I should add Irish to that list.

Are you Irish in the way everyone else in America is Irish, namely some drunk deadbeat dad fucked some other West-Side skank
to be someone else's "great-great-great-baby-daddy"?

Irish. How embarrassing.

If you're in this country...you've got ancestors from somewhere else. This is a country founded by immigrants. There's really no such thing as a pure-blooded American.

As a rule, most people with low self-esteem see themselves as being inferior to everyone else. Lets say that they do decide to alter their body in some way, in hopes that it will cause someone to notice them. It may even be because they felt that they were just like everyone else in the world, but now they can be their own person and have their own identity. Body alterations could even cause a person to have a higher self-esteem than what they had before, all because now they can feel better about who they are, their place in this world, and who they have become.

A survey on why people get tattoos and body piercing was conducted (Grief & Hewitt, 1999). This survey showed that 53% of its participants got tattoos because they saw it as a form of self-expression, while 17% saw their tattoos as a way of feeling unique. Participants surveyed on the reasons for engaging in body piercing said that it was also a way of showing self-expression (84%), while 21% got theirs for beauty reasons. Self-expression is a way of getting the point across to others, as to who you are not just on the outside but also who you are on the inside.

Another reason of body alterations may even be that they are used as a means of calming anxiety. A study completed showed that self-mutilating behavior is an anxiolytic, or a way to sooth anxiety one feels (Waldon, 1998). Anxiety can be caused by feelings of aloneness, thoughts of failure, and by feeling you are not living up to someone else’s standards. All of these causes are related to feelings of low self-esteem. So, by combining this information with what we already know, we can assume that body alterations ease and lessen the feelings of anxiety, which in turn lessen those of low self-esteem.

What a bucket of dogwank.^^

You get it, a year later you forget you even have it till someone says:

"oooooo what's that?"

"huh? what's what?"

I doubt the 80 year old at the health club gives a toss what anyone thinks or even remembers he's got it.

Anyway, as Tattoos relate to group belonging, it just goes to show that humans are communal, social creatures rather than individuals.

Christ, you've all the edge of a beachball.

Says alot about your country and how it identifies itself racially.

Sopranos...Every Which Way But Loose...same thing.

Matter of fact, I understand that the producers of Every Which Way are suing the Sopranos for copying their plot lines from the movie.
