Immigration again......

So I just read an article in the Boston Globe about the 347 illegal immigrants picked up in a raid in Massachusetts. Are we supposed to feel sorry for these people? They break the law to get here and when they are caught they cry and beg to stay?

I see where they say they have been here working for 3 years. I wonder how much in taxes they paid over that time? They can send money home but god forbid they have to live by the same rules I do.

Oh and in my opinion if you are here illegaly and you have a child here then that person should not be a citizen. Take your illegal baby and go back to where you came from. Then fill out the paperwork to come here the right way. Whats that? It takes 5 years to do it legally? Too fucking bad.........

Oh and if I were in legal trouble would anybody be coming to my aid trying to raise 200K to pay for my legal bills? Hell no and I am an American Citizen. What a bunch of schmucks in this state. Don't help your fellow Americans but when people who don't even belong here come calling people scramble to help.

Unfreakingbelieveable..........

Don't worry, Bush is getting serious about immigration reform.

With the exception of Tom Tancredo, that is....

Neely, I hope you reserve a little scorn for the vermin that have employed them, as well. While Bush and other bubble-headed pols are "getting serious" about immigration reform, they are still basically ignoring the people who illegally employ these people.

They don't pay taxes either, my friend.

Take their wages minus whatever they sent back to their relatives back in the home country and multiply it by your state sales tax rate. If they are smokers, add in your state and federal excise taxes. If they drive, add the gas tax. And if they drink, add in the sin tax on booze.

We pay all those taxes too Bri. My point was specifically income tax. Federal and State......

PSU----I do hold them accountable. This company in New Bedford should get their ass handed to them in fines. See if that helps them realize that breaking the law by hiring these people isn't worth it. Maybe figure out what their wages would have been if an American earning minimum wage was working all those hours. Then fine them the difference......

Mikey----How do companies take taxes out of your check without a SS #?

Well, first you need to figure out how much they made. You see, if they're getting paid under 8,500 a year, they're not liable for ANY Federal income taxes to begin with. If they have dependents, its even more.

Also, if they're working with fake SS numbers, they are having money withheld that they will never, EVER be able to claim. Never mind the money that's being withheld for Medicare/Social Security that they will never see.

Any more questions?

aww, fuck... why'd you have to go and rain on another illegal immigrant bashing parade? Those people aren't even human, you know.
