My Saturday in Lexington

Well, I made the 2.5 hour roadie to Lexington for the game Saturday. Where to begin...
I could swear that I saw the first game of round 2 was between A&M and Louisville at about 11:00 AM (Central time). So, the wife and I piled into the truck and headed for Lexington at 6:45 AM. We get there around 9:30 and park. I go into the cab of the truck to pour us some green beer. It's 9:30 AM and we need to get our drunk on before the game since they do not sell alcohol in Rupp Arena.
My wife asks me, why are there so many Ohio State fans here so early? I wrote it off as they just have tickets to the whole session so they are coming for the early game. After awhile, I decide to go ask one. I asked what time their game starts and he said 1:10 (eastern). I was like, what the fuck? So I call 1-800-555-TELL and sure enough, the A&M game is at 3:40 eastern. Someone later told me they switched the gametimes.
Fuck me running.
I had a commitment on Saturday evening. We were going to watch the game and then drive back home for the Monte Carlo night at the country club. Since I am a board member, I was required to be there.
Fuck that. I called the club and said I could not make it that night. They understood. So, we had some time to kill. Bar. Whiskey. Hell yeah. We went to Sawyer's (great burger byt he way) and got our drink on. We watched the first half of the OSU game from the bar. Then we went to a Rite Aid (like a CVS) where we purchased a pint of Makers Mark and a pint of some off brand Vodka. I slip the bottles in my pockets and we head to the game. At this point, I tell the little lady that we will be staying in Lexington. I had already had about 8 beers and 4 Jack & cokes and was about to drink a whole pint of Makers. No way was I going to drive home after that.
So, we call the Embassy Suites and book a room. $200 for a night. Shit...oh well, beats driving drunk and dying or killing someone else. We go into the game to watch the second half and OT of the OSU game. Our seats were pretty good. We were ont he second deck at about the free throw line 12 rows up. For $180/ticket, not too bad. Midcourt was liek $300 per so I opted not to buy those.
As for the game, one of the greatest I have ever seen. I knew it would be a pro-Louisville crowd. Some redhead whore yelled at me for saying bullshit once. I told her there were no kids around and it isn't like I was screming profanities the whole time. Just then, I got a tap on the shoulder and the dude next to me said he had a kid. I didn't even see the kid. I apologized and asked if he cared if I said "banana bubbles" from that point on instead of shit. He said it was fine and I ended up screaming banana bubbles a few more times.
We stick around after the game for awhile as the players were celebrating and reacting o the fans that were left. Awesome day. We cab it to the hotel and order pizza and then crash.
Great time. Lexington is a nice place, actually. Most of the Louisville fans were classy. To top off the night, my bud called from the Monte Carlo event at the Country Club and said "Guess what. They just drew your name in the raffle. You're $1000 richer." Damn good day for this Ag. Looking forward to San Antonio. The Mrs. has said I can go solo to San Antonio if I want, but I am holding out for the Final Four. If we make it to Atlanta, I'm there.
