Ricardo Patton takes the Northern Illinois job

Post by King Crimson »

anyone who posts in this "potential" thread better bring it.....'cause i can't think of a good reason.

what it tells me is Ricardo had his ducks in a row as a lame duck coach, and the CU AD is floundering (as usual). if they don't get AFA's Bzdelic, CU is fucked.

I don't understand how Patton kept the job at Colorado for so long.....he basically accomplished nothing.

And why on earth another school would scoop him up is beyond me. Obviously I'm missing something, but I don't know what.

And Colorado is probably screwed regardless........it's CU for crying out loud.

i live in Boulder so i sort of watch the trainwreck, Patton should have been out 3 years ago but the AD (then) didn't have the huevos to fire a black coach in Boulder and *also* have to undertake a coaching search and actually *do something*--which would have cut into his martini lunches, tanning, and deep sea fishing trips to Mexico.

i think Ricardo was 1-23 against KU (and 12 of those were at home). i do know CU hasn't won in Norman since 1981.

CU won a combined 8 games in the 2 men's revenue sports this year.
