Oregon-Florida

I usually don't think of this group as a basketball place, so that's why I haven't been around much, but the eve before a chance to get to our first real final four (sorry Dins, I love the idea that we won the first NCAA title, but it doesn't really count to me. And, my great uncle was actually a player on the team that won it all), I thought I'd show up.

To be the best, you've got to beat the best and Florida is the defending champs.

Is T-rex still around?

Because tonight, I drunk myself b-lind to the
sound of old T-Rex
To the sound of old T-Rex - who's next?

When I say I love you you say you better
You better you better you bet
When I say I need you you say you better
You better you better you bet
You better bet your life
Or love will cut you like a knife

I want those feeble minded axes overthrown
I'm not into your passport picture I just like your nose
You welcome me with open arms and open legs
I know only fools have needs but this one never begs

When I say I love you you say you better
You better you better you bet
When I say I need you you say you better
You better you better you bet
You better bet your life
Or love will cut you like a knife

I don't really mind how much you love me
A little is really alright
When you say come over and spend the night
Tonight

I lay on the bed with you
We could make some book of records
Your dog keeps licking my nose
And chewing up all those letters
Saying "you better"
You better bet your life

You better love me, all the time now
You better shove me back into line now
You better love me, all the time now
You better shove me back into line now.

I showed up late one night with a neon light for a visa
But knowing I'm so eager to fight can't make letting me in any easier
I know tha~t I been wearing crazy clothes and I look pretty crappy
Sometime
But my body feels so good and I still sing a razor line everytime.

And when it comes to all night living
I know what I'm giving
I've got it all down to a tee
And it's free.

Yeah, we probably lose this game anyway, playing the defending national champs. But it seemed like an appropriate song for tonight.

if florida wins, i owe trixy 50$

fucking #1 and #2 seeds winning.

Losing to trixy makes it much worse, kinda like getting into a fight with a cripple, and losing.

trixie deniro will be sent a day or 2 from results of game. going to STL-Cbus hockey game tonight, atleast 2nd and 3rd periods after meeting, so wont be able to hit a post office till monday or tuesday.

losing to trixie? what next, jonsense goes 7-0 with his hott football selections?

"We lost that game," Hairston said. "They didn't take it from us."

Sure pal. Scoreboard. UF pretty much did whatever they wanted. Sorry you lost.

Hate crap like that.

I hear Trixie is in the debt forgiveness business. Don't sweat it. Just promise to send it to one of those Sally Struthers organizations or one of those kids with flies all over their faces and it'll be all square.

Hey props to the Gators and Ducks...good game...

maybe a little heavy on the fouls on the Ducks? Not flaming...but Noah's antics still get me riled up...taking nothing away from his talent...but the antics drive me fucking nuts...

look forward to this weekends games...should be really really good...

T REX please don't take the foul comment the wrong way just throwing in my $.02...

good luck all...

my picks

tOSU over G Town
UCLA over FLA (last year was last year)

tOSU vs UCLA with tOSU taking it...

again my thoughts...

He's one of those guys that annoys the piss out of you just looking at him. What an ugly bastard that guy is.

Great player though.

Hate crap like that.
i also hate crap like an elite athlete believing his team was good enough to win. it's a not a piss poor sentiment on his part, either: it's not like florida put that game away. if they did pretty much whatever they wanted they probably would've made a few more free throws and not faced the possibility of losing in the final minute.

Not sure what your statement implies. Sounds like some type of antagonistic remark.

Not biting.

It reflects a lack of respect for an opponent that just beat you....you know the cliche..."they won but we're better"....

Usually you read something classy like....."Florida played a great game they deserved to win."

Oh well.....

^^^^^^^^^^

you mean like after FLA beat tOSU in the football MNC game when Harvey or Moss don't remember which one was quoted as saying there were 4 or 5 teams in the SEC that could beat tOSU??? You mean classy like that?

I mean I don't want to get back into this whole argument but don't act like FLA players are the classiest bunch around...I mean how come Harvey couldn't say OSU was a great team and it wasn't their night and we were the better team??? Same deal...is that what you are alluding to??? Again same type of deal...everyone is guilty of it...

just sayin'

To all teams left this weekend...GOOD LUCK!

Ahhhhh....but everyone in the known universe(including me) picked against the gators giving them NO CHANCE!!!!!!

yeah ok but one of your points was respect and class...

it's not like tOSU was here saying well with 51 days off blah, blah blah...

just admit it wasn't the classiest thing to say but it was said...so what...

kind of like Noah's hating blast...dude get off yourself...

good luck this weekend...going to be a good game against UCLA...can't wait to see Affolo and co go against the Gates...of course for my brackets sake I need tOSU and UCLA in the final...

exactly, cliche; as in, protocol dictates we say one thing when i (or even the whole world) thinks differently. i only read hairston's quote in an article that provided zero context, but that quote of itself doesn't show a lack of respect. florida's won four games by playing well and showing a lot of poise, so propers for that, but it's not like they got butler or oregon's a-game, so i can see why hairston might be inclined to feel they took the piss rather than got flat out beat.

noah's a bit vexatios, yeah, but florida isn't exactly hurting for respect, so they have to invent challenges. "us against the world" is probably best left to the teams that no one thinks could possibly win, but if circling the wagons works for them, then so be it, non?

that said, go ucla. i be a hater.
