The Pope is lecturing on the topic of Third World Plundering. Make sure to take good notes. The concept will surely come as a surprise to most folks.
A few years back, the Vatican was kind enough to clarify another confusing issue. May Catholics remarry, in the view of the Church? Certainly, came the answer - but there can be no sexual intercourse in that union.
I'm glad to see Benny taking things into an arena that the Church feels more comfortable in. No one can inform on Plundering better than a Pope. They may be a little hazy on what happens between man and a wife who marry, but Plundering, well, they're experts.

Nah Priests are actually probably more in the know about those things than the spouses themselves. They know what the wife wants to do to the poolboy while the husband is at work, how the wife tried to execute what she wants to do with the poolboy after work, and ultimately ... that she did it. She feels bad about it, but she just felt so fullfilled by the poolboy. Now she's torn and afraid.PSUFAN wrote:They may be a little hazy on what happens between man and a wife who marry
Trust me, priests know a whole lot more than you think. Even non Catholics tell priests shit that you wouldn't even imagine. Simply because they are known to take a vow and respect the sanctity of the confessional.
I got $4.99 that the focus will be turned on the minority of catholic priests that diddle little boys in
10......9.......8.........7
No love lost on this fallen Catholic, their history is indeed one that can be looked back upon and in the comfort of today's knowledge judged harshly ....
But seriously, priests probably know more about a couples sex life than the couple.
That really speaks to the point I was making about the Pope.priests know a whole lot more than you think.
A priest will have no problem understanding that if a man and woman marry, they will almost certainly have sexual intercourse in that union, Church or no.
The Pope and the Vatican almost understand this. They understand that they should "allow" parishioners to remarry, but they don't have any idea why they might do so.
A priest understands that sexual intercourse is inevitable for married folks, whether or not they've been married before. The halfwits that run the Church have trouble descending to an understanding of that concept. Undoubtedly they're just too tired from their debauches...

I'm sorry. I should have let it be. I really didn't have a take on YOUR take, because well ... your take was pretty much spot on, except for the point I mentioned. A nitpick, to be sure, a product of my own boredom. I should be at ASP.NET instead.PSUFAN wrote:That really speaks to the point I was making about the Pope.priests know a whole lot more than you think.
Have a good day PSUFAN. Rack your take and your outlook. It sure is strange, these papists, bwahahahaha.

Uh yeah, Tom, if I wanted to discuss marital issues I’d immediately look for a guy who took a lifetime vow of celibacy. He’s bound to have some brilliant insights.

In Chilé there's a Catholic church where lived the priests and a short distance away there was a convent for the nuns. There are walls separating them so no hanky panky would ensue. Some time in the mid twentieth century a historical group found a tunnel linking the basement of the church with the basement of the convent. In this tunnel they found thousands of baby skeletons which had been aborted or birthed and then killed in the tunnel. Chileans, having no shame of course, put up a plaque outside near the street memorializing the dead babies.
There are a lot of things I don't understand about the Catholic Church. One of those things is why they hold on to a tradition of celibacy? It's not a doctrine or at least it didn't start out as one. It was instituted to cut costs so the church didn't have to support a priest's wife and children. Doesn't make any sense to me why the pope doesn't sell a few of his hats on eBay and change that rule. Then again paid clergy doesn't make any sense to me either so there ya go.

You piqued my curiosity with this paragraph and I haven't been able to find anything about it. Do you know the name of the city in Chilé where this took place?
