Ask me again after April 10th. I'll be seeing them then. I've heard they do a good job, but I guess it depends on how much of a fan you are.

Yeah, they put on a good show. They dont say much to the audience, they just play their music.

A friend of mine was the original drummer for them . He left before they recorded " Songs for the Deaf " . I met the bass player years back before they formed . He was annoying as fuck , but overall , a cool dude . Thye come from my hometown . I've seen Homme with Kyuss years back . John Garcia , the singer from Kyuss , just relased an album with Hermano , with another guy I know .
Homme is a genius .

josh homme is an egomaniac weirdo.
QOSA are good though, and a quality live show, though i haven't seen them in over 2 years... it's true that they don't say much, they just play their shit, and well at that. i seem to recall the audience being almost equally divided (about 9,000) half were completely into them, dork-like and half weren't interested at all.

I've got 2 tix to their Henry Fonda Theater show in April, here in L.A. Really small venue, so I'm wondering how that will play out for them.

i thought they weren't even operatin with the same lineup these days... didn't JH split the band and take off with that overrated Distillers chick ? (brody dalle, i think)
the day you posted this, i'd just drug out a couple of their old cd's, mindlink!
at any rate, i'm pretty sure you can expect to hear a good show, not so dynamic or spectacular to look at... i think that's sort of refreshing. wild stage antics aren't always needed.
enjoy yourself anyway...

Last I heard, Nick Oliveri had left the band and was going to concentrate on Mondo Generator. I'm curious to hear what the new disc sounds like w/o his input. It seems like he was the more "heavy metal" influence, so I hope it's not just a bunch of pop drivel.

They were in Europe last summer , and the band quit on Oliveri after a show , because he beat up the sound guy due to a shitty mix .
Oliveri is a nutcase .
