That was a tough game to watch R-Jack. You have to consider it an overall success considering they want to a division rivals house and split a four game series. I am pleased with that. The A's always start out slow but manage to gain some steam by the all star break. Lets just hope they aren't too slow on friday nights game against the Yanks. I'll be in a suite for that one.

I might be biased, and he's only 0-1, but I've gotta go with Matt Cain as being a better pitcher with a futile record.

As long as Armando Benitez gets 29 saves, it's all good.

The A's and the Black Sox put on a hell of a show last night. Watched it start to finish with a buddy and his dad...his dad, who worked on the construction of Oakland/Alameda Stadium....DIEHARD A's fans, these guys.
Don't always see the pitching duels this early in the season. Chad Gaudin wasn't hitting his spots that well, but had lots of movement, so it worked. Jon Garland was Jon Garland...smooove delivery...never looks spectacular, but few ever seem to put any bat on it.
Any time the closer gets the W, it was probably a good game.
