Shoalzie - picking Baltimore?
PrimeX - picking Cubs?
All except atomicdad - Royals seem to win on most Tuesdays, too bad there is only one Tuesday a week.

Nate has been a hard luck pitcher for the Tigers...he'll have a quality start but lose because he gets terrible run support. He was nails last night but had only a 3-0 lead when he left the game and Zoom gave up a solo shot to Patterson to make it more interesting. Nate is due to have a 15 win season but he'll end up a .500 pitcher but with an ERA in the low 3.00s because the team behind will let him down. Hopefully, this year will be different.
Plus, the Tigers aren't starting the season as well as last year offensively. Inge is 0-for-the season and having a solid spring. Perez started at 3rd last night...didn't hear if it was because of injury or just to sit Inge because of performance. They have 5 guys hitting .200 and below right now.
Shame on me for not being myopic and thinking the Tigers will win every game.

See yesterday's game as a reason why I'm cynical with the Tigers in game started by Nate Robertson...throws a great game but the guys score him just one run and ends up with the L.

In fairness, Halladay was awesome...any pitcher would lose against a performance like his. Just sucks that Bondo had 9 shutout innings like Halladay but his bully let him down. I tell ya, losing 1-0 or 2-1 is way more frustrating than losing 10-1. Winning close games could go a long way in determining the division and wild card this year considering how closely packed the contenders are.
