Why not? After all, they're still using these:

...which are Vietnam-era helicopters. Those pieces of shit have killed so many Marines that they affectionately refer to them as "flying coffins".

On the ship's deployment to the gulf in 1996 we were conducting one of those inane joint military exercises with the Thai Navy. The rear engine in one of the flying coffins caught fire and cooked alive the Marine at the rear of the copter before the pilot could slam it on the beach and get everyone out. Seriously injured a couple of other guys.

So don't be surprised that they still haven't given up on the Osprey. The military doesn't give up on anything until it kills enough soldiers and if their still using "flying coffins", then it's no shock that they'd continue with another piece of shit.

BTW, I guarantee that the only reason the Osprey is going into combat is because the contractor that builds them is pushing the administration to do so.

For once I'd like to see an mvscal opening salvo that included some supporting fact instead of mere insults.

Why should mv be expected to provide "facts" when OC didn't provide supporting facts with his bold statement?

OC made a blanket comment about "guaranteed", and got challenged (and insulted) for it.

That is how it should be.

Then what in hell what this?

Whitey, OC was IN the military. He's speaking from experience.

I think that's the very least nvscal might attempt.

Calling someone a moron with nothing to back it up is not a challenge.

Except maybe in cudas case. Plenty of facts (his posts) around to back that up.
