Actually it's a convention by which variables are named in programming languages. The variable is prefixed with an indication of the data type the variable will hold and then the name ... usually helpful to give it a meaningful name like what it's holding .....


For example. intPostTotals or iPostTotals is Hungarian Notation and defines a variable of integer data type used to store Post totals.
