What a bumbling fool. Sure nothing illegal was done, but could this guy show himself more incompetent. Even the Repubs on the panel found it hard to support this moron.

Dude's got an awfully poor memory for a guy who managed to pass bar exams, can cite precedents, and attained the highest litigator position in the country.
Ergo, he's lying. Much like Scooter "I have memorized entire season's worth of baseball stats, bit I don't remember talking to that guy." (Libby is well known for having a freakishly acute memory for numbers and dates...except under oath.)
But...you clowns don't demand better, so you'll never get it. Maybe if they hauled his ass to jail for the rest of his life, then the message that the "elite" don't get to do whatever they want, whenever they want as special interest dictates, then we might get somewhere.
But, bring up the need for accountability, the "liberal handwringer" label comes out (although I'm not sure how a revolution, violent if neccessary, is a "liberal handwringing" concept, but if it was said on AM talk radio, it must be true).
Buncha fucking sheeple in this country.

Oh, I'm sure if Harry "Property Deed" Reid could make a buck off it, he'd be free to perpetrate his evil.

I caught a bit of the hearing yesterday on NPR. The best was Orrin Hatch. He spent his time repeatedly saying that this could have been handled better, but gee, Mr. Gonzales, you’ve done some pretty good things in your life, haven’t you? What a fucking tool.

It's not a secret that Hatch wants to be the next AG, hence the soft sell on Gonzalez. I've always hated that smarmy prick anyway. He reminds me of the guy in my sixth grade class who used to tell the teacher that she forgot to give homework.

RACK Tim Russert. A few weeks ago he had Patrick Leahy and Orrin Hatch. When Hatch was mouthing his inanities, Russert started grilling him, "would you accept a nomination as AG?"

Orrin Hatch is probably the most flaming queer in the entire Stupid Party. Without a doubt, he's sucked more dicks than... than... whoever the fuck that faggot is LTS TRN 2 is obsessed with.
Lindsay Graham is a close second. Probably has a closet full of Ungaro Spring frocks

President George W. Bush on Monday rejected calls for the resignation of Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, saying Gonzales' Capitol Hill testimony last week "increased my confidence" in him.

Beat me to it, PSU.
I wonder if there's another terrorist attack, GWB will come out and say it's increased his confidence in Homeland Security. Holy shit.

Well FEMA's post-Katrina performance did ellicit a "You're doing a heckuva job, Brownie!" for the former head of the Texas Kennel Club...
