It wasn't a fancy house, it was just a regular old 3 bedroom 2 bathroom house and the family didnt move in to that house until september of Reggies Jr year, 2 months later reggies step dad is telling a National TV audiance that Reggie should go pro at the end of the year.
If this agent allowed Bushes family to live in this house for bellow market value while Reggie was still at Helix, and part of them living in this house relied on Reggie going to USC, then you can tie the school to the issue. This guy allegedly gave these gifts so Reggie would leave USC and he could represent Reggie as a professional.

So then Charlie Weiss knows what ever single player at Notre Dames parents are paying for rent and if it is above or below market value?
Are you saying that part of playing any sport at a division 1 school means that the school needs to know all the particulars of the players families life? You going to start sanctioning schools who have parents or siblings who are addicts, living on welfare, evading their taxes, owe child support/alimony?

Seems that USC was already hurt by losing Bush's services for another year. With Reggie, the Trojans likely played in another BCS title game, without him they had to settle for beating up on michigan again

Say some school, maybe the one you support, has one of the greatest players in the nation, some shady agent comes along and gets the player to leave the school early by giving benefits to the players family. You think that is the fault of the school and that the school should be punished?

The NCAA should work with the NFL (since its the NFLs minor league anyway) and when a player leaves a school early for the NFL, the NFL should send how ever many years worth of college eligibility that player had out of that players salary and send it back to the school. On top of that the NFL should disallow any agent that contacts a player before the player declares for the draft from having anything to do with the NFL, that person can not profit off the player and can lose any ability to deal with the league, you take away the mtivation for these parasites to prey on college players and their families

Do you really find it that hard to learn how to spell Weis's name correctly? And to your question, yes. First of all, it's much easier at Notre Dame considering most of the players live on campus and those that don't, have limited places to go. But even at bigger schools, it's not hard to know exactly how much players are paying in rent. All it takes is a call to the landlord. And when the coaches are recruiting these players, they get a pretty good idea of what these players are coming from. Hell, they could find out from the admissions office if they really wanted to.

Nice jump of logic from knowing what your players are paying in rent to sanctioning schools because they have a crack head uncle.

I know this is hard for you to understand, but if a player takes any benefits from ANYONE while in school, it's a violation. That kid is not eligible to play. And the agent didn't give him benefits to convince Bush to leave school. He gave him shit so he would be Bush's agent when he did leave school.

It would help if your coach limited the "parasites" and didn't allow them to hang out at practices. But hey, that's part of Hollywood Pete and the limelight, isn't? And why the fuck should the NFL have to refund any part of a scholarship? It's a one year, renewable deal so the schools aren't losing any money on the deal.

Just a minor point of contention, but I know that when I was a student, the scholarship players all were required to live on campus, and room and board was part of the scholarship. I suppose it's possible that ND has changed that, but I haven't heard that they have. Of course, a requirement like that makes it a little easier to abide by the NCAA rules.

The question wasn't where the player lived and the players rent, Bush lived on or near campus. The question was if Weiss knows the rental agreements of every player on the squads parents and if those parents are paying above or below market value for the home the parents live in

The NCAA recognizes that schools can not be held responsible for the shady dealings of agents not acting on the schools behalf, they changed their rules because of it.
If this guy was giving Bush's family stuff so that reggie would go to and play for USC, then it's a school violation, this guy allegedly gave stuff to get Reggie to leave school early and be represented by him, not the schools fault.

The NFL wouldnt be paying the money back, they NFL would be subtracting the cost of the scholarship from the players salary/signing bonus and giving it back to the school

We went to the circus tonight with the little guy. They had one of those "human pretzel ching-chongs". She actually had a rack though. When she was doing a hand stand and tickling her ears with her toes, I must admit, my imagination started to take over. At one point, she was laying on the table with her chin out front and her arms laid down behind her. She brought her legs over the top and almost ate her own asshole from behind. Now that's talent.

That being said, which was a joke, they did a HELL of a job. I was pretty amazed at what they could do in a tent that was thrown up in a few hours at the National Guard Amory parking lot. For a small town like this, a circus that can come in to town, set up in a few hours, play two 2-hour (very entertaining) shows and move on to the next town is amazing.
