Moss traded?

Per PFT:

MOSS DEAL DONE?

There's talk in league circles that the Raiders have a deal in place to trade Randy Moss.

However, we don't know yet where he's headed. Or what the Raiders will get in return.

The most likely destination is Green Bay, since Moss has been linked to the Packers for much of the offseason. We've heard on multiple occasions that quarterback Brett Favre is certain that Moss will join the team, and ESPN's Chris Mortensen has mentioned repeatedly that Favre is pushing for the trade.

We heard earlier today that the Raiders were shopping Moss for a second-round pick, and we heard on Thursday that the Packers had offered a fourth-round pick.

Our guess? Moss to Green Bay for a third-rounder.

Interesting. Didnt know the market value was that good for a "play when I want to", non run blocking, horrible route running alligator armed whiny ass locker room cancer of a pussy who's due to make 9.75 million dollars this year.

Getting that money wiped off the books alone (RACK Al for restructuring his contract when we traded for him) is worth it.

Now that Moss has lost a step, he's damn near worthless.

RACK Al if this comes to fruition.

if it is true it makes you wonder whether JaMarcus will be their first pick.....

Word out of Raider headquarters is that they are 80% sure JaMarcus will be the first pick......and that Jarrett or Bowe will end up in the silver and black with some wheeling and dealing (if needed).

We are loaded with young talent at reciever as of right now. I wouldnt mind seeing the likes of Bowe/Jarrett, but i'd rather us fill the only hole on our D and take a DT who'll fly off the ball and stuff the run.

An offensive lineman or 3 wouldnt hurt, either.

I hear ya on the Russell pick RJ, it's just that Johnson has as much upside potential as any receiver I've seen for a long time......

Raydah James on Feb. 28th wrote:GB called and inquired about Moss..Al said it had to be a first rounder. GB then offers a bag of shit they wasted a first rounder on. *crickets* from here on out until a first or second round pick from the coming draft is offered.

That's one thing about Al-Nobody gets over on the old man concerning trades for draft picks. Nobody.

It actually looks like market value has gone down. Rumors started out as Moss for Rodgers or a first rounder. Now it seems that the Raiders are will to settle for a third or fourth rounder. If this deal goes down, props to the Packers and TT for waiting and not giving up anything higher than a third.

If the Raiders were "willing" to settle for a fourth rounder, the deal would be done already.

I'll say it again: Nobody gets over on Al concerning draft picks. Nobody.

If he'll rape a team for thier first and second rounders for 2 years straight for a lame duck head coach in his final year, what do you think he'll get for a former "superstar" reciever knowing that Green Bay is desperate for him? Had your Interception Machine shut his cock box about wanting Moss so badly, it might not have been such a struggle to get him...........but now that Favre has gone public saying that Moss will be Packer, Al has the Astro-Glide smeared on and is simply waiting for GB to get thier pants from the knees to the ankles.

If this deal goes down, props to the Packers and TT for waiting and not giving up anything higher than a third.
Yeah, props for giving up a high draft pick and getting an injury prone cancer who takes half his plays off and will be blowing your cap up to the tune of nearly 10 million dollars for this season alone.

Considering that Al gave up N. Harris and a first rounder (#7 overall) to get Moss, I'd say that the Vikings already "got over" on Al concerning draft picks. I'm not saying that the Packers will be instant SB contenders with Moss in the fold, but I will say that giving up a third to get him is worth the risk. And don't worry about the Packers cap, if this deal happens, Moss' contract will be restructured.

I'd say that you're a fucking moron-Nap harris was benched midway through his first season as a Viking, got cut after that season, and the draft pick produced jack shit for them.

Meanwhile, Al is getting ready to assfuck GB to the tune of a first day pick for a useless 30 year old shitbag of a quitter in Moss who has been injured every fucking season for the last 3 years.

The rest of your offering isnt worth dissecting-Raidernation will just sit back and laugh when Randy goes on his weekly radio show and starts talking shit about Favre's deteriorating skills when he's underthrowing the rock into double coverage interceptions as usual.

Good Link, LC.

This:
DiPiero told Twin Cities television station KSTP that Moss was in excellent shape and "ran a 4.26, 4.28, and a 4.31 (seconds in the 40-yard dash) during one of his workouts last week. He's in the best shape of his life."
Doesnt mean a fucking thing if he isnt willing to block and continues to take plays off like he has for his entire career.

Also, you'd better hope to God he can still really run those 40 times, because he doesnt understand the meaning of any route other than "fly".

Yes, his sloppy route running sucks that fucking bad.

Im all for the trade, and wish you and your team luck if you land him-you'll certainly need it.

I read that quote too, and thought, "hey, that's awesome! He's back to 'in prime' condition," but then I remembered the source. What else is his agent going to say, of course he's going to talk him up.

Ideally, for the Packers, Moss would come in and take the double teams off of Driver. If all Moss can do is run a fly pattern, that's fine, the Packers have no one who can stretch the field. With a lot of teams running a Tampa 2 type of defense, having Moss to stretch the field would open up the middle for the TE or RB out of the backfield.

James, I think we can both agree that this deal would be a win-win for both club.

Moss is a pussy.

He's not ever going to 'lead' any team to jack fucking shit.

He's a classic momentum guy.
A guy who, when things are going good, can get off.
When things sour, however, he half-asses it or fully quits.

At this point he's grossly overpaid, and I question the wisdom of any team bringing him onboard.

As was noted, Oakland gave up a #7 overall pick, a starting linebacker, and a 7th rounder for him.
Nap Harris and the 7th rounder were really not that big a deal, but giving up the #7 overall hurt.
With that pick Oakland could have had either Demarcus Ware or Roid Merriman.
Instead we got a washed up, overpaid, pussy of a WR for 2 yrs.
This one blew up in Al's face.

Cuttng his losses and unloading the piece of shit for best available offer is the best Al can hope for at this point.

Dropping the Moss salary hit is critical, IMO.
Oakland will have to pay up for a very high 1st rd pick, and they also need to lock up Aso and D. Burgess.

Shit, I painfully agree with you 100% and have railed him in the past over it.

My statement centers around acquiring or dealing for picks. In that arena, Al is nearly unmatched. (RACK Jimmy Johnson and his staff for the biggest jack move in league history, followed by the Ditka/Williams first degree rape)

Im not in the mood to get into Al's drafting track record...........like any owner, he's got hit's and misses all over the board.

Hopefully, that changes for the better this draft.

I know what you meant. But if I see a big ole fat softball pitch, I'm sure as hell gonna swing.

I'm with Tart on this. You guys should have taken Johnson and just figured something out at QB for one season. Next year's QB crop will be much superior to this one.

Damn is right.

When I heard that Randy was waffling back on forth on whether or not he would restructure his contract, I knew there would be a problem moving him.

I mean, who the hell would want this guy for that amount of money?

Obviously, the one team who was stupid enough to take him: The Pats.

To further put this into perspective: Al loves speed. So much so that James fucking Jett spent over half a decade in the silver and black without being able to catch a cold.

What does it say about Moss and his "newfound" 4.4 speed that Al is willing to cut his losses and just get him off the team after a mere 2 years?

So much for the Pats and their concerns over signing players of upstanding character. I hope you he sucks in New England as much as he did in Oakland. They spread the ball out too much for either of them already- but now with him and Stallworth there- there will not be enough for both of them. Going to be intersting to see what happens

Oh he will, make no mistake about it.

Al letting him go in this fashion instead of keeping him on the sideline to prove a point (Like Porter and Allen) shows exactly how much he thinks Randy still has left. No way in hell Al moves Moss within our conference if he thought he was still a top 10 receiver.

Money isnt the issue with Al-he fucking paid Porter a fat chunk of cash to ride the pine last season in order to prove a point.

Basically, Davis just threw down the kiss of death to Kraft and got compensated for it.

Raider fans kill me. You just lost a great receiver, got the 110th pick for it and somehow you slant that like you got over?

You've proven yourself to be a dumbfuck (and a whiny twat) over the years, so the fact that the obvious went over your head doesnt surprise me.

In fact, I dont know whats worse-your football knowledge and NFL posts, or your pathetic sobbing bouts of utter pussiness when posting about getting PWNT in court by your crackheaded ex and how women "own you" once the ring is on. So many jokes about your manhood, so little time.

Let me dumb it down for your faggot ass:

Raidernation isnt acting like we got over.

We're just happy as hell that he's fucking gone. Period.

Your team was 6-26 during the Moss era. He had Andrew Walter, Aaron Brooks and a bunch of other stiffs throwing to him. Now you get to deal with the growing pains of a young quaterback. So you decide to trade the best receiver on your team to help him? Spare me the Ronald Curry bullshit, and if you think Jerry Porter is now going to magically appear to care again you are crazy.

Moss is coming to a team that has Dante Stallworth, Ben Watson, Wes Welker, Reche Caldwell etc. and has Brady throwing him the ball. I think he will do a little better then he did last year on your shit fucking team. If Moss was so bad last year then why did he continue to play? Why didn't they bench him like they did Porter? All I heard was that he was sick of losing. If thats true then Oakland is the last place you want to be. Losertown doesn't feel good.

Thats a football take Raider Lames. Nothing personal. Your team just got ass fucked by the best team in the league. I am glad you enjoyed it. I know we sure did!!!

You wouldnt know a football take if it was the cream filling in the middle of the many chocodiles you slam down your cocksucker daily, you portly fucking pork rind.
Sports Illustrated's Andrew Perloff wrote:I was surprised by how many critics of the deal immediately emerged. One sportswriter instantly labeled them the "New England Yankees," and another said under his breath, "I hope this is the move that finally pushes this team over the edge and ends the Belichick dynasty." Another long-time observer of the Patriots said there's no way vice president Scott Pioli was behind this move, because it goes against everything their management team believes in.

Enjoy the locker room meltdown of T.O. proportions.

Until he gets pissed b/c all of the above are getting just as many passes as he is. Moss is a cancer- plain and simple. Let's see what happens in NE when he gets a bug up hiss ass one day and quits on the field. Besides- Moss is a shell of the player he once was....

The FUCK do you mean "Block" for a running play? Randy dont block.

If the coach say I missed a block, then it happened and thats that. If I cant block then I cant block. I mean, we talkin' 'bout Blockin here. Not a catch. Not a catch. We talkin 'bout Blockin. BLOCKIN'. Not the catch that'll bounce off my alligator arms. Blockin. We talkin 'bout blockin. How the HELL can I make my teammates BETTA by BLOCKIN?

With Brady as QB - I don't think a 1,000 yd. - 10 TD season is unreasonable.

If he's that, then he's worth the 4th rounder.

If he reverts to form then he could do for NE what TO did for the Eagles.
