cause Im sure all of you are waiting to hear

So last night we played that team full of board members kids, both teams were 13-1.
From the start it was ugly, they hit 3 of our batters with pitches in the first 2 innings, the ump didnt toss out their pitcher even though he is supposed to be removed after his second hit batsman. The strike zone was all over the place and our short stop got his ankle broken after he was ran over for the third making plays at second base. Our Short-stop is our smallest player, but to his credit he kicked the kid who broke his ankle in the face with his good foot while they were both lying on the ground. This pissed our pitcher off and he hit their next batter and he and the catcher were ejected from the game even though their pitcher had hit 3 of our batters without so much as a warning. When I called time and walked out to the plate to ask the ump to please call the game the same for both teams I was booed by the completely full stands on the other baseline.
Down to 9 players the team beared down, fought on and won the game 12-3, then I turned in the card to the ump and said that their team had 3 players that never played, to which the ump said "I dont care"
Our Short-stop will be ok in 6 weeks or so but the Pony season will be over by then, hopefully he can keep his spot on his travel team when he gets back. He is a small kid but a vocal leader on our team and was one of our 3 best pitchers, his loud mouth and smart ass remarks will be missed on the field but he will be there in the dugout

the parents of the kids on my team love me, I hooked all the kids up with bats and hitting instruction. Their kids are having a great time and the conditioning and fly ball practice at the beach has gone over great.
I'm not concerened with the parents of the kids on the other teams, they're not my responsibility

Are you coaching a bunch of little faggots? Or maybe you're coaching them to BE faggots.

A 2nd consecutive hit batsman is grounds for a bench-clearing motherfucking fucking brawl, and you not only let it get to the 3rd hit batsman, you didn't even HAVE a fight.

And I'd have sucker punched that fucking Umpire too

Yeah, I've got that figured out coach.

You said it in the beginning. You said it during the peak of the pile-on. You're saying it now. You've got this very (often unprovoked) defense on auto-submit.

Are you even sold on what you're telling us? I don't think you are.

It's past the point of abuse, Mgo. I don't believe a word this chump types. He's a caricature of a bad coach and seems to enjoy the attention, so just lathers it on thicker each time.

Here, let me try to give this thread some respectability and divert it in a positive fashion:

I managed my daughters team in kid pitch baseball from the time she was 6-11 years old. No, it wasn't T-ball and it wasn't machine pitch or coach pitch. Yeah, she played with the boys until she was 11, and was better than most of 'em. Hella' lefty pitcher. It was funny as hell whenever we met a team that hadn't seen her before. They'd be all like, "there's a girl on that team", and then when they'd find out she was pitching, start laughing. Then when they came up to bat, she'd strike 'em out. Poor boy would be walking back to the dugout with his head down and his teammates laughing at him, "you just got struck out by a girl". Kid would lift his head up and say "Oh yeah? Well, you're next!" Freaking priceless.

One time when she was only 7 some fat kid about 9 who threw harder than hell but was also just as wild plunked her twice in the same game. The 1st time it hit her in the ankle and I know it hurt like hell. She hobbled on down to 1st with nary a whimper. The second time got her right in the gut and knocked the wind out of her to where she couldn't catch her breath.

At first I wanted to kill that fat kid. Then I wanted to kill the opposing coach for leaving that wildass motherfucker on the mound. Of course, I did neither and the ump threw him from the game.

Rules state that 2 hit batsmen by one pitcher is grounds for the kid to be taken off the mound, not necessarily ejected though, rules could have been different in the league your daughter played in.
The pitcher from the other team hit our 2nd and 4th batters in the 1st inning and then hit the lead off man in the second inning and their coach didn't even go to the mound after any of the batters were hit.
When I asked the ump why our pitcher and catcher were thrown out of the game for one hit batter and their batter hit 3 in 2 innings he said "the circumstance, that was blatant retaliation."
Then I asked why he didnt eject their baserunners for running over my Short-stop 3 times he said agian "the circumstance, the score was 9-0 and they were trying to get back in to the game"
Then I told him that the kids broken ankle was on his head and I hope that Conners dad gets a hold of him because he should have had control of that game.
Seemed that every parent and player from every team in the league was in the stands for the game last night
My team did not play cheap, even when it was clear the other team was going to. They gave 100% and I and the other parents are proud of them

only a complete fucking retard like you, schmeck, would reset the rule about "pitchers hitting kids" when that's not even the topic of discussion.

how you are even capable of "coaching" an organized baseball team is beyond my own fucking comprehension.

Therein lies the kicker.

He doesn't coach. He has even admitted to such by saying A) the kids already have outside hitting instructors and B) fundamentals aren't taught.

Sounds like the dude just shows up to the game and slaps his dick around in the dugout while his team of top shelf all stars goes out and belts home run after home run.

btw - you better be FedExing your "championship" trophies over to these professional hitting instructors. Give the credit where it's due.

my cousins kid races Motocross, my sons surf but dont compete at it. Im not trying to build Major League players but if my sons want to play baseball, Im going to make sure that they play on the best teams vs the best competition available. there is nothing wrong with providing the best for your kids

I coach, just have a bunch of kids who have played 5 ot 6 years so I dont have to spend a lot of time on fundamentals. I call the pitches, set up the defense call the offensive strategies during the games and I run the scrimage, the drills and the exercises during practice.

The hitting instructor was in our dug out last night and has been in a third of the teams games

You live in the wrong district. You should have your kids up here in Clovis Schools, they admire win at all cost parents and if you toss in enough "make sure" money your kid gets first billing even if he or she isn't the best kid in that position. The best kids are usually in the stands because kids playing sports quit being fun by the time they hit Middle school or their parents refuse to shell out tens of thousands for Travel Team, Camps, Hotels, Food, Private Instucters ect and are more concerned about the academic education part of schooling than athletic.

Enjoy your competition, I hope your kids can as well.

what don't you understand?? it's not about the other parents! it's not my responsibility to worry about them. hell, it's not even about the kids!

it's about my fucking mantle, and the wall-to-wall trophies i have on display to make it look like i'm somehow worth a shit! it's all about WINNING baby! that's the bottom line!

values? sportsmanship? fundamentals? fuck that noise! just win baby!

Bully for them and the "other" parents then.

You've spent all this time and effort describing how you've played cheap by not shaking hands after games, cutting kids who didn't measure up, and now you drop in here wanting a pat on the back? No wonder that team wanted to take some anger out.

Are you for real? This isn't real. If you really do coach a team, you need to resign, find a different hobby, and get as far away from a ballfield as you possibly can.

Seriously.

Wags,
Sadly enough I see this shit everyday going on. My kids are spread apart age wise so I have one at 3 different schools. You see where it starts, progresses then the sickening results.

It's much to real.

and very, very pathetic.

I never cut any kids and we didnt shake hands at the start of the season but then again none of the teams we played lined up to shake hands either. Since then we have shaken hands with every team but the team we played last night and that was because they wouldnt come out of their dugout and do it.
Ill admit I did do some harsh things like teach hard tags, have kids do 10 pushups whenever they dropped a ball and the first man out wind sprints but the team still does all of those things and the kids that are first in windsprints still sprint with the rest of the team, just dont win... Conner started that.
I listened to a lot of what you guys said in that first thread and have emphasized fun as much as winning since then
I thought it was odd that I was called out on the hand shake thing when I had yet to have seen it at any of the games at the level this team is in as well as the team below it, the hand shake just wasnt done.
I will admit that i stacked my team in the draft by getting all travel team players and then kids who's parents said they may or may not play since they were trying out pony and little league. I also recruited travel ball players and had them skip or duff tryouts so they could all be on my team.
This is my first year as a coach, Im learning as I go, I used some contacts I had through my sons and nephew to tilt the field a little in my favor but there's nothing wrong with that.

Why todays Little Leagues suck. You summed up the reason for the pile-on with this gem. Get a fucking life. Sports should be fun. Was your baseball experience this fucked up?

The other coaches could have drafted them, there were 3 players that I was able to get this way, because they didnt try out or duffed their try out (1 kid did that) I was able to get them in later rounds. I used my 2 coaches exemptions on my son and my Short-stop that got hurt.
After round 4 we were able to take 2 players per round and thats when I took my 3 ringers. This is the same thing that is done in every league my sons have ever played in but its normally all the boards kids on the same team that is stacked. I just stacked up a better team than the board members team, of the other 7 or 8 teams in the league, only about 3 are any good the one that beat us in the first game is one of those, they could hit a ton but make a lot of errors in the field. 2 of the teams in this league are very bad
My experiance growing up was about the same 3 years on a team full of board members kids where we didnt really have any competition in the league. I also had a couple years where I was on the sorrier teams like the one my nephew plays on. In High School we were ok, not as good as Irvine but better than a lot of the other schools here in south oc
Ill take a message board pile on if it includes tips on how to do things better next year since I will get to keep just about this whole team, unless the board does something real shady

But Judgment Day is coming, Schmeck. See, there will come a day when Jr. has to go into that locker room full of kids who learned to hit shitty, brown baseballs with a wooden bat on the sandlot. And there will be a contingent of big ass motherfuckers who didn't give a shit about baseball until they were 16, but are genetically predisposed to snap Schmeck's All-Stars in two just for kicks.

Pampered fucking travel team baseball kids get their asses handed to them their first or second year of high school, then disappear like pumpkins on the porch at Halloween. It happens every year. They kick ass as kids, then get their asses handed to them with a side order of their own fucking teeth.

I have $100 to $1 that says Scheck's kid quits baseball before his senior year of high school, most likely for a protected rich-kid sport like motorcross, golf or swimming. No fucking chance that dude's kids have the stones to dig in against the onslaught of mules that will throw at his head just to watch him piss his pants.

Who in He-double-Ell wants to shake hands with an "I'll scratch my balls when I need ta, as often as I wanta, and I wanta a lot" baseball dumbass anyway? Do the fucking wave.

I didn't read the rest of the crap, but from my personal experience youth sports in Cali sucks a$$, unless you have the ca$h or players with the mad talent. A lot of the coaches are fucking jerks who shouldn't be allowed around children, yet there is NO screening process, because coaching at the youth level pays SHIT, so what you get is usually SHIT for coaches.

And then there are the parents who will do ANYTHING to get their kid recognition. Those assholes are the worst fuckers alive.

I suggest you get REAL successful at coaching, so you can freely tell those mother fuckers to shove their mouths up their own asses when they try to open them.

Drafts? This is fuggin' little league. Maybe it's an a-hole socal thing. Here in cow town, they take a look at all the kids at the beginning of the season, then, the responsible adult types get together and, get this, they actually make an attempt to divy up the talent.

Fuggin amazing, ain't it?

And last time I checked, they just had a coach. They don't have AA washout hitting coaches and strength coaches and offensive baserunning coaches...etc.

So, tell us more george socalbrenner.

One other question. At what age do your kids sign agents? I mean, johnny doesn't want to have to deal with all this draft shit on his own and end up on a shit team.

Conner isnt my son, he's my sons friend from travel ball and the kid whose ankle was broken. My sons names are Troy and Jake.
I dont know how they set the teams in other places,
This is the second year that this cities Pony league has been set up to compete with Little League. They increased from the 6 teams they had last year. Those 6 teams got to keep all their returning players and then drafted, after the 4th round, players new to the league or division to fill any open spots they had. The new teams got to have 3 coaches exemptions (for their kids) and then they were given scouting reports on all the kids from try outs and drafted their teams, the first 4 rounds were 1 player per round, from round 5 on they took 2 players at a time with the established teams going after the new teams.

In Little League all the minor league players went to try outs, the major league teams would draft the best to fill their roster spots from the kids that aged up and then the minor league coaches would pick their entire team

Figured it was the same everywhere
