they were great. i see now that it's a stooges meets the birthday party thing.....but, nobody was doing that then. no one was listening to the stooges in 1984....except scratch acid, apparently. i saw them a couple times in Norman, they were good. some really good bands out of Austin in those days.
b party covers funhouse and 1970 on some mindblowing boots i've got. Cave has this great line in one of them...."this a song by, uhhhhh, a band called the stooges. they're from Italy". fucking a. hilarious.
edit: apparently that one link is from Dearborn, Michigan public access TV 1986. but, that Del Fuegos poster in the background is kinda funny. i bought their first LP. i had forgot they even existed.

the Dicks were good. Scratch Acid was good. Surfers. etc.
