You have probably read this recently..

Jason admits to using Steroids

Yankees slugger Jason Giambi's steroid admission to USA Today has possibly opened him up for questioning by Major League Baseball, additional scrutiny from both baseball and his team and perhaps even a suspension if it can be determined when he took the steroids, baseball officials told SI.com.

"I was wrong for doing that stuff," Giambi told the newspaper. High ranking baseball officials were dumbfounded that Giambi would make such a public admission after going to great pains to avoid doing so for years. They noted that he was in the clear had he continued to admit nothing. However, baseball officials say that he still may not face any repercussions unless it can be determined when he took steroids.

***************************

I am actually glad Giambi has come clean out the closet and admitted to using steroids. Now he can move on...

He admitted he was wrong also which is big. Just because Steroids weren't a banned substance, he knew that using them was cheating and so did all of the other players that used "roids". I don't blame him and all of the others for using roids. Hell, it helped them to earn $$$$ and keep playing baseball but it was wrong and it did dirty the game.

I think that all of the home run records from 1990 to 2015 will have to be considered questionable due to steroids but the game will go on and the first step is admitted your failings..

Giambi has "manned up" and I rack him for that!!!

I'm as big of a steroid witch-hunter as you'll find. But Manny never found a place in my crosshairs, because steroids don't help much unless the user is willing to do his time working out, too.

And I just can't picture Manny lifting anything heavier than a bottle of beer or a coffee cup.

Everyone should use Brett Boone as an example on how to deal with their shame -- fade into oblivion, and keer your mouth shut....like Bagwell has done, too. Outside of Barroid, Brett Dyanaboone may be the worst offender of the bunch.

Okay, I will ignore the idiot posting in this thread and get back to a real conversation..

So, now the Yankees are considering voiding Giambi's contract.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=2876608

I think that is a very bush move, if they do it. The Yankees knew he was juicing along with Sheffield and others.

To claim that they didn't know is a lie. It will further underline Giambi's statments.

MLB needs to admit knowledge and apologize in order to move on, not void contracts..
