At least they can't be bright piss-yellow. They'll still probably look like rollerball unis though.

Gone are the green pants for road games. Those things were awful. I'm pleased.

Kind of on the plain-side IMO but at least they look like football players.

as i've been reading on the CU boards, it's that word "revolutionary" that explodes off the page....

They look OK, too little is definitely better than too much when it comes to unis. But I'd have gone with a stripe down the sides. I don't mind the plain unis from PSU because that is part of the tradition but otherwise I like to see some color on the pants.

i think with the all-white look, you need a stripe on the pants. PSU excepted, and Bama. my completely homer fave here was the two thin stripes OU had until 2000. those Switzer teams with all that speed and those two thin crimson stripes was a money look.

some teams can do the all white (Oklahoma, Texas, some others....) but others doesn't work. CU, again, comes to mind....when they wore all white (in the middle of the Barney era) they just looked like Baylor (before they switched to the horrid green helmet).

not the Sooner roadie, but i'm too lazy to GIS anymore.

which was worse: all green unis or the green pants for road games? i'd have to say the former.

Thanks for the pics, KC.

I actually kind of like the white jerseys. The black ones are worse that the old ones, but overall it's not as big of a trainwreck as it could've been. Honestly, I could give a shit less if they came out in pink tutus and ballerina slippers as long as they win some fucking games this season.

i think the black jerseys look like Mizzou's newish Nike duds.

Agreed. When I saw that all black combination the first thing I thought was that it looked like Mizzou's uni's.

Agreed. When I first read this topice, I was thinking something along the lines of Oregon or Cal's unis, only in CU colors.

The Msu unis and Colo's duds are fine in that they are not too far from their roots. Most of the country doesn't see either team play, so any change so subtle won't be noticed.

State switches from the sparty logo helmet to the bock "S" every two years or new head coach, whichever comes first.

I really don't give a fuck what "most of the country" will or won't see.

They finally pulled their heads outta their asses and got rid of the horrid green pants, and switched back to the Spartan logo. 'Bout time (again).

after looking at the unis again, if they went with white pants and white shirts, ui think it looks a tad better.

mizzous unis arent that bad, i think the white jersey is average, but from nike it could of been worse(see osu, oregon and cal)

I'm not a big fan of the monochromatic look, even when it's all white. I like a little color in the uniforms as well.

If a team has a secondary color that's not their home jersey but still an important part of the overall color scheme, that should be the color of the pants. I'd blow a gasket if ND ever went to anything but gold pants (although to be completely fair, I'd probably grow quite fond of even pink-and-purple polka dot unis if we ran off a few national championships in them). Similarly, tOSU should always wear gray pants; Michigan should wear maize pants; FSU, USC, UCLA, Fredo, Purdue, Pitt, West Virginia all should wear gold pants; Georgia should wear silver pants. Just off the top of my head. I would have gone with gold pants for CU for both home and away unis based on that premise.

For MSU, I agree with Danimal that too little on the unis is a better look than too much. But the relative bareness of the uniforms juxtaposed with the Nike swoosh, given Nike's tendency with uniforms in the past, is a bit shocking. As for the helmet logo, when I was a kid I used to like to draw team's helmets. The "S" wouldn't have given me too much trouble, but the Spartan would have stretched my artistic "abilities" to beyond their breaking point.

Unis could have been MUCH worse. They aren't bad at all compared to what they could have been.

I have long wished for us to get gold pants. Never liked the white on white look we have gone with in the past (we have almost exclusively gone to green pants on the road (our best uniform combination is the white jersey and green pants)). The green on green look at home is a bit much. This is where having the gold pants would be nice.

I agree except for Colorado's away scheme. Since the days of Darian Hagen & Eric Bienemy, I have always been a big fan of the Buffs' gold helmet / white jersey / black pants look. These don't look that bad at all, I was expecting the worst.

i agree with that 100%. but, the Buffs have had September (maybe late August) roadies the last half decade at FSU, Miami, and UGA.....which makes the black pants somewhat unfeasible for being so gawddamned hot to wear coming from dry climate to humidity. so, they did the all whites, and now (UGA) the gold pant.

that's a great look though, IMO. agree. from the mid 90's, Neuheisel years. numbers maybe a little iffy in this example....but Nike and Rick were palsy walsy.

Nice find there, Crimson. I couldn't pull it up on google but I like the unis from the early 90s with the plain black numbering/lettering on the jersey. Those were pretty sweet, especially when seen on CU players celebrating in a Michigan endzone in Ann Arbor.

Yeah, I was bitchin' like a school girl without cell phone access when that shit happened.
Don't "F" with our unis! PERIOD!

On a lighter note...those "school girls" modeling those CU unis don't 'xactley put the fear of Barry Switzer or Billy Sims in my old heart.

WGARA what they wear? Try winning some football games for a change.

Let Oregon and Oregon State carry on their fagfest alone.

By the way, Urban, this crap belongs in the PAC 10 : Image
Don't be doin' that shit down here in SEC country anymore.
I have yet to see that different colored sleeve look on any Pac 10 teams

USCs uniforms are pretty traditional and have had few changes. The Trojans are one of the few teams that have always worn black shoes. everyone else went to the white shoes in the 70's and 80's , USC stayed with the traditional black

Dan Hawkins did the same thing at Boise State. Brought in a new revolutionary NIKE uni that looked quite similarly like the old, non-revolutionary, non-NIKE uni.

Memo to Hawk: Just cause it worked once, don't mean it will work again. Get your team to catch the ball, throw the ball, stop turning over the ball, stop opposing offenses on third down, and they might win a few more games. As it stands now, they are only going to look in style when opposing Big-12 teams stomp the shit out them.

you guys switched to a updated, more sleek helmet logo (maybe) and definitely to the shoulder stripes in about 01. though it was billed as "retro", no?

Hawk's act is on the verge of wearing pretty thin among a lot of people i know in Boulder. he'll get a 3rd year for sure, and recruiting sparked, but we'll see. i personally think if his future at CU is tied to his current assistant staff....he's in trouble. they looked lost in conference games last year. i think he might make it work, but he needs better people around him than WAC "masterminds". take your Boise-Fiesta Bowl shot, if you will.

he has some quotes from last year that ring hilarious and sad: about Boise Mojo meets Pac-10 (OC Helfrich) scoreboard lighting up the Big XII in 06. and all their special teams schemes were basically from outer space (and CU sucked out loud on special teams last year). the learning curve better be pretty high for Hawk. he talks a good game.

CU has been a Nike school since at least the mid 90's.
