my notes from the day:

it appears my once blossoming basketball future has finally wilted. yes, those are nutz, and yes, that is my mouth. that’s also my face, which has a large beard. large beards are essential to basketball, at least if you’re going to get dunked on and need something to cushion the impact between ball and face. in my own defense, my nose only hurt for five minutes. i also had to borrow someone’s socks and size 13’s just to play. i'm sure i would've blocked the dood had i shoes more my size. or at least had enough time to run out from under mr. dunky, screaming like a little child..

that's the last time i ever smoked a spliff. namibians can't play bball at all, and i only agreed to play b/c 1. the spliff and 2. mr dunky couldn't finish a dunk until i decided to play.

I too have a footwear excuse. Doc Martens are not good for rushing QBs...they can suffice for cartwheels, though...even under harried circumstances.

Yeah I am pretty excited about this series against the Beavers.

Its kind of cool, the starting pitcher in tomorrow's game grew up in Ann Arbor. My baseball umpiring career followed his baseball career, I was doing little league when he was playing all the way through high school. The parallel ended at college however.

Putnam is a good kid, I hope he does well tomorrow.
