Bush was robbed.

Here today. George Bush works the crowd in Albania, a watch visible on his left wrist
Image
Gone tomorrow. But as the crush of arms close on the President, his watch is lost from sight
Image
And by the end of the walk, the presidential watch is nowhere to be seen

Here today. George Bush works the crowd in Albania...
I bet he was sure surprised to find out Albania isn't right next to Mississippi.

Albania! Albania! You border on the Adriatic.
Your land is mostly mountainous,
And your chief export is Chrome.

(revision of an old joke in the USSR)
Stalin and Khrushchev are taking a tour of their Eastern European satellites in Stalin's special train.
Khrushchev [who is the clueless unworldly peasant in all jokes of this genre]: "I can't keep track of these damn countries. Where are we now?"
Stalin: "What time is it?"
Khrushchev [looking at watch]: "Ten o'clock."
Stalin: "Well, then, this must be Czechoslovakia."
[Somewhat later] Khrushchev: "I'm lost again. What country are we in now?"
Stalin: "What time is it?"
Khrushchev [looking at watch]: "Two thirty."
Stalin: "Well, then, this must be Hungary."
[Somewhat later] Khrushchev: "Sorry, I'm lost yet again. What country are we in now?"
Stalin: "What time is it?"
Khrushchev [lifts wrist to look at watch]: "Hey! My watch! It's gone!"
Stalin: "Ah, this must be Albania."

it seems that the watch may not have been ripped off after all ! I'm sure the truth is out there somewhere.

Looks like ole W found himself a whole new batch of enthusiastic foreigners. The "We love America" Albanian's prove beyond doubt they are ready and willing to do another one of those grueling and tedious tasks the American Citizen isn't willing to do anymore. The watch was a small token of his sincere appreciation before they once again slip back into the Shadows. I imagine that Talking Timex Watch is as highly prized to any loyal Albanian, as any Mexican Illegal "almost" earning Minimum Wage for a day.

Rack Y2K. It's fucking pathetic to see Bush reduced to jetting to Albania to get an enthusiastic crowd photo-op.

Watching him in that clip where he meekly followed the goose-stepping Albanian soliders...this guy was supposed to restore dignity to the Oval Office?

Guess what - he sure fucking missed that mark.

There's a lot more dignity in getting a White House hummer from a fatty intern then there is in groveling for respect in Albania. Holy fucking shee-it.

Only if you don't get caught.

Seriously, there's nothing "dignified" about being a celebrity and getting blown by a fat nobody. Please tell me how that in any way raises the status of the Presidency...

Unless you're one of those retards who sport one of those "No blood for oil", "Quagmire Accomplished" or "Bush lied, soldiers died" bumper stickers, you have to admit that while Bush may have caused more people to distrust the Presidency, it's still the same position of distinction that it always has been (it ain't like there's a shortage of candidates) since he took over.

Its just a shame that looks is part of the equation in hiring process for the presidency. William Howard Taft was what...342 pounds? I'm not saying he was a good president, but it just didn't matter back then. Honestly, if you could only hear Bush talk, he would have never made it through the primary. The American public voted for Bush based on his stance on ghey marriage in '04, so that tells you right there how fucking retarded we are as a whole. Essentially, its our fault and its going to continue to be that way until we destroy every fucking reporter and TV camera in the world.

It is pretty sad that he's been reduced to doing a recreation of a 1963 Beatles appearance in freaking Albania. I'm sure Trinidad and Tobago is next on the tour... And really, what's the point of this tour in the first place? He's a lame duck prez who's being thrown under the bus by many in his own party. What's he worried about his popularity now for...his legacy? Shoulda thought of that a looooooooooong time ago if that was going to be a concern. You don't put out a forest fire with a plant mister.

Ever seen Bill Clinton's nose? Taken a good look at Jimmy Carter or Gerald Ford any time recently? To put it another way...you're an idiot.
Honestly, if you could only hear Bush talk, he would have never made it through the primary.
People didn't hear him talk at the debates? What did they do, play Connect Four and the winner got the party nod? Geez, you'e dumb. No, really. Extra double super dumb.
The American public voted for Bush based on his stance on ghey marriage in '04, so that tells you right there how fucking retarded we are as a whole.
Yeah, people voted for Prez based on a states' rights issue. My God, your idiocy knows no bounds. Feel free to walk into oncoming traffic any time.

People voted for Bush because:

1. We were in the middle of a war
2. He was the incumbent, who always have the advantage
3. People in the Midwest and south still thought they were voting for Bush Sr.
4. John Kerry and his ambiguous "I have a plan" campaign was one of the worst run in recent memory
Essentially, its our fault and its going to continue to be that way until we destroy every fucking reporter and TV camera in the world.
If people stop watching and reading the shit reporting that we're getting (they are), those delivering the news will change the way they do business. I'll give you two perfect examples.

1. CBS News went to almost all soft stories when Katie Couric came on board thinking that if they reported "nice" news that they'd attract all the women. What they did was get all of the men to tune out and only gained a 3% audience share in women. So what are they doing? They're changing their broadcasts.

2. The LA Times newspaper basically decided to change their name to "El Tiempo de Los Angeles" and become ultra-ultra-left and adamantly pro-illegal alien. What happened? Everyone who wasn't myopically Democratic or here illegally (who weren't subscribing anyway) started cancelling their subscriptions left and right. So the paper is changing the way it reports news. It'll probably still be a ultra-lib shitrag, because LA is a one newspaper town, but they're finding out that in a city overrun with problems caused by illegals, no one wants to read sob stories about illegals day after fucking day.

Are you fucking serious? Ford, Carter, and Clinton are no William Taft (granted Ford was the biggest fucking klutz on the planet). Tell me something, would FDR even be considered a candidate today? No fucking way. A man in a wheelchair is a sign of weakness in the eyes of most. Reagan was a crowd pleaser and by no means was THE best candidate for the presidency. There are REALLY a lot of fucking intelligent people out there who can make good decisions for the US, but they are not marketable and they do not have the resources to compete with the deep pockets of the candidates of today. Its really simple, we haven't elected a TRUE person who can run the country like it should be for nearly 50 years.

I'm trying to figure out your angle here. Is it that some of those guys are better looking than others?...because I don't think that'll end well for you. Just sayin'...
Tell me something, would FDR even be considered a candidate today? No fucking way. A man in a wheelchair is a sign of weakness in the eyes of most.
And Washington wouldn't have been elected today because that Vermont hillbilly had wooden teeth. This just in, we also don't shit in a bowl and dump it into the street anymore either. Things tend to change from century to century. Tell me you knew...
Reagan was a crowd pleaser and by no means was THE best candidate for the presidency.
Who was better? Carter? MONDALE?!

Reagan was a great President because of his speaking and leadership abilities, which were similar to those of Bill Clinton. I don't really give a fuck what a President's views are on topics he can't change (read: ghey marriage, abortion, etc) as long as he's a strong leader who projects a positive image of America. Clinton did a great job of this, as did Reagan. Bush I and Bush II...not so much. This is one of the main reasons that I'm leaning towards voting for Fred Thompson in '08. Every time I hear the guy speak, even if I don't agree with him 100%, he sounds like an intelligent man of conviction who knows how to convey a message to people. Well, that and who am I trying to kid...I loved him in Die Hard II.
Wrong again, dipshit. They don't run for the presidency because they can make substantially greater money in the private sector without going pre-maturely gray once they find out about Roswell, who shot Kennedy, and that Vince Foster and Chandra Levy died in a bizarre murder/suicide.

People also don't run for President just because they aren't attractive, they also don't run because of all of the dirt that's pulled up on them. Thompson, a lawyer prior to being a senator, is a perfect example. As soon as he announces that he's going to run, his opponents will start bashing him by naming "unsavory" people that he defended 30 years ago. I mean, it's about as relevant as the Whitewater bs was to Bill Clinton being qualified to run the White House. No one, other than the media, who have to report something new every day even when there's no story, gives a shit about any of that stuff.

Read it again, Mike. Rumpledbyguntskin is professing an attraction to William Howard Taft. Rumpled is all about quantity, not quality. Pic of his wife out front should have told you.

Except that he was from Virginia and was far from being a hillbilly. He was charismatic, well educated, a hero in two wars, wealthy and politically connected, but besides that he was just like a Vermont hillbilly.
My bad on the Virginia thing. Couldn't decide which "V" state it was. Damn 50/50 chance burned me again! Grrr... Hillbilly comment was a reference to the wooden teeth, nothing more.

Move on? Your best shot would be to lose your password, start all over again with a new nic, and leave the photo album at home.

Or, you could regale the board with a story about your meth dealer coming over and plugging your beloved Mount Foreskin in the shitter, and you gazing at his junk and making comparisons and whatnot. Then everyone would have a place to move on to.
