Barnes did well at Los Al but it seems Los Al always had a great QB and I cant think of what any of them have done in College.
Coaches have shown that programs can win without treating their players poorly, you can scare a kid in to running in to a wall for you, but if the kid loves you, he will run through the wall.

Was there a rule that he broke and chose to not put up with the coaches discipline for it or is he simply not going to put up with the verbal abuse of himself and his teammates.

Or maybe the kid just got homesick and used whatever excuse he could to get out of Alabama. You would have to admit that there is a hell of a culture shock between Los Alamitos, California and Tuscaloosa, Alabama, I dont care how good people think the BBQ is at Dream Land. You take a kid from a beach city in Southern California and put him in a much less desirable place to live, then take away the people who got the kid to make that decision in the first place and its pretty easy to see why a 19 year old kid might want out.
