OCmike's Humpday Challenge
There is only one rule: No more than one correctly answered question per person, per hour.

2. What is the name of the NBA Championship Trophy?

8. The bases are loaded. The batter leans over the plate on a high inside pitch and then attempts to get out of the way when he sees it coming in on him. Even though the pitch was in the strike zone it hits his elbow. What would happen?
9. In 1986, 1987, and 1988 the Oakland A’s had three consecutive Rookies of the Year. Who were they?
10. In Will Clark’s first major league at-bat, who was the pitcher and what was the result?
11. Who was the first catcher to win Rookie of the Year?
12. What baseball player is 1st in number of games played, 1st in at bats, 2nd in doubles, 6th in total bases and 4th in runs scored?
13. Who hit into the most double plays in their career?
14. According to Jackie Chiles, what was unpredictable and you can't tell what it was going to do?
15. Who took Elaine's armoire from Kramer?
16. What college did Raiders and Saints flameout Aaron Brooks attend?

I'm guessing there is a stat somewhere of "hit" into double plays but I can't find one. Cal had 350 GDP while Hank had 328

"The Best Swing In Baseball"'s first big league at bat was against Nolan Ryan and he went yard on Ryan's first offering-a letter high fastball......

8. the dumb ass would probably charge the mound because he thought the pitcher was trying to hit him even though the bases are juiced
otherwise it should be called a strike if the batter was hanging over the plate.

Correct, unless it's Barry Bonds, in which case the pitch would bounce off his kevlar body armor and he'd be awarded first base.

Incorrect. If it hit Barroid's elbow-biggio, it was outside. If it was a
strike, it would have bounced off his melon.

Are you a bitter Fullerton fan?

I root for them to win every year they're in it, since I lived in Fullerton and the surrounding area for several years, but hardly watch any of the CWS (didn't watch any this year).
In fact, I don't even know what you're talking about. I assume the umps blew a call that lead to a UCI win?
I do know that they lost to UC Irvine, which blows, but Fullerton generally has such a strong squad that they never should have been in a position that the game went to extra innings in the first place.

^^^ Also incorrect.
If it was a strike, it would have been drawn into orbit around his melon.

The potential winning run was put on base in the 13th on a play very similar to what you described in your question. Minus the men on base that is. I hardly watch any CWS action, but that game was a classic.
