The crash knocked down utility lines, cutting phone service in the western half of Ontario County. Route 5 remained closed until about 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Phone lines down
and the road was closed.
These tragedies seem to get worse and worse.

What a damn shame. When I was a freshman in college, I started talking to this girl who was a senior in high-school. We went out a couple of times and before anything could really develop, she died in a car accident. She fell asleep behind the wheel coming home from project graduation and she drove one of those cars where the shoulder belt autmatically goes over your shoulder when you close the door. Well, she never put the lap belt on and when the car flipped the first time, she was thrown from the vehicle. She had just graduated too.
You should never have to bury your kids.

Nope, they were from my neck of the woods (Fairport).
Seems like about every 10 years a carload of kids from Fairport decides to give some bode to Darwin.

Rout 5 is a major route out there. Tens of commutes were adversely affected.
Oh yea, before anybody complains about the "rules"...

OK, now that it's a confirmed tragedy, only one thing left to do:
Rank 'em!

Any time a carload of 5 hotties gets waxed it's tragic.
But Darwin doesn't take kindly to giggly girls who think going head-on with a semi is a good idea.
You'd think that after 4 intensive years of higher education, at some point, someone would have told them "BTW - drive in the right lane."

I personally find that to be pretty hot. It's tragic when they get in a car wreck.

This is like Hurricane Andrew hitting South Beach instead of the trailer parks.

Not to go all Dinsdale on you, but higher education generally refers to colleges and universities. High schools are considered secondary education.

U&L white trash consider junior high higher education. Senior high is more like post grad.

Standing corrected over here. I
skimmed the article, and thought the "graduation" was college.
So, a bunch of prissy little high school cheerleaders were going to a "vacation home" to go be prissy little high school chicks
en masse? The article I came across this morning said the whole lot(2 cars worth) of them "cheerleaded together"(not sure if "cheerleaded is a word). I guess none of the poor, ugly girls were invited.
I'm thinking Darwin did the world a big favor.

Sounds like somebody got shot down by a lot of cheerleaders back in the day. Sucked to be you, I guess.

Rack Dins!
I am not happy about any kid buying it like that, but, if it's gotta happen, might as well happen to prissy rich little debutantes.
I guess one of the reasons I survived that summer is I spent a good deal of it working rather than going to my summer house. Ofcourse, I did go to the summer house regularly, because it was the same fukkin' place as our winter house or fall or spring house for that matter.
One thing is for goddamn certain. My 15 year old daughter ain't riding with her friends ANYFUKKINGWHERE for say the next 30 years or so. It has been shown statistically that when teens drive with their friends in the car they act stupid and frequently get themselves dead.

yet another spin out by clavinsdale.
From the FIRST sentence in the article:
Five young women who recently graduated from a suburban Rochester high school
not to mention Wolfman brought up MtLR in the first post., who teaches High School and mentions it frequently.
Admit it. You're not a know it all.
And yeah. Sucks for you with the whole cheerleader thing, too.
But hell, someone has to keep the fat chicks happy, right? Can't think of anyone better qualified than you.

Another member of the “got no quality pussy” patrol weighs in. Hard to believe that a guy who grew up to watch American Idol and Paris Hilton interviews could not nail a cheerleader in high school. Whole lot of bitter up in this bitch.

Uhm...yeah.
A disdain for sense-of-entitlement bitches who hang out exclusively with the beautiful=people click equates to "lack of quality pussy."
Uhm, yeah.
To anyone who actually has scored any pussy in their life, the KYOA of this statement is off the chart.
Laughing over here, Jerry. Laughing.

Sorry, Dinsy, but it seems you have a bit of resentment to high school (or higher education) cheerleaders. Period. They’re not all self-centered attention whores. Thanks for tossing me in there with the “beautiful=people”, though.

IOW, you've never scored with that group, so you turned to the low class sluts and fat skanks who think they're making a step up banging you.
Again - sucks for you. Pretty rich girls like to fuck just as much as ugly poor ones, they are just a bit more picky who they spread 'em for.

As someone now immersed in high school culture, I've got to agree with Goob.
Some of my most hard-working, conscientious, and bright students happened to be cheerleaders. It's funny to stereotype every damned one of them as backstabbing, shallow, anti-intellectual children of privilege, but like most stereotypes, it's a shortcut to actual thinking. If you want to stick to stereotypes, as a "frat boy," I'm supposed to be little more than a cheap-beer-swilling, gang-raping loser who got a job only through daddy's connections. We all know how true THAT stereotype is, eh?
One of the smartest women I know - a successful businesswoman - was a former high school cheerleader. She also happens to be my wife.
Long story short: five kids with promising lives ahead of them died tragically and needlessly. To demean their deaths because they happened to be cheerleaders is -ironically- more shallow than the stereotype folks are dredging up. Way to go, assholes.
