The Pope says that non-Catholic churches are "suffering from a wound" because they don't recognize his primacy. Also, they are not "full churches of Jesus Christ."

In one week he brings back Latin Mass and resurrects the claim that only the Roman Catholic Church is a "real" Church.

Next up: Interdicts on the U.S. and most of Europe...the return of the Inquisition...published excommunication of all Roman Catholics who belong to Masonic Lodges (RC's are officially forbidden to become Freemasons, but it's not enforced).

He'll do more for increasing Protestant membership than any Protestant "meet and greet" has ever done.

Of all the myriads of things that crack me up about Catholicism...having a Pope is definitely a top 3er. Somewhere wedged in between up-downs, infant head watering, using small humans as mastubatory instruments, and confessing my sins to that same user.

Tell ya what, though. Some Catholicist wants to give me Chapter and verse of any one of those five, I'll be all ears...

I guess I prefer to think for myself.

Seriously though. I think it's 50/50 that I see the Vatican dissolve in my lifetime . . . or relocated to somwhere in Latin America. I just think think that crazy old men in costumes will lose their ability to be relevant in the developed world . . . unless they're making minum wage in malls in December having kids sit on their lap. I think eventually the Vatican is purchased by the Italian government and/or European Union and turned into a park/museum.

I don't agree with you on much, bro', but I think we see eye to eye on this one. Well worded. As a Protestant, I do believe this is an accurate paraphrase of that conversation (assuming the Pope would say something like that, of course).
