45 Days or so until the Broncos run the table AGAIN

In an attempt to increase the Strength of Schedule, the Boise State Broncos are playing Washington this year in Seattle. If they get by those Huskies, they can probably run the table with those shitty WAC teams (at least we're not the Mountain West).

So which 6th seed team in the ACC will the Broncos beat this year in the Roadies Truck Stop Humanitarian Bowl in Boise?

Based on their outstanding record in PAC10 buildings, I'd say BSU is a STONE COLD LEAD PIPE LOCK to beat UDub.

What is their record in PAC buildings again?

Oh....

I guess there's a first time for everything.

Especially when you see a PAC school that's had the wheels fall off the wagon, and you schedule them in their darkest hour.

Too bad the University of Phoenix stadium in Scottsdale isn't a PAC building.

And what does it say about a team that thinks it's bolstering its SoS by scheduling a doormat?

BSU fucking whines incessantly about not getting its due, yet going in and playing a team that's filed multiple counts of sexual assualt against just about every other team in the conference for the last few years is "improving" SoS?

Classic.

The ruse known as BSU will come to a prompt end(as will hopefully the big mouths on their fans) in about 14 months.

Dins, you'll have to enlighten me. I wasn't aware that BSU fans had big mouths.

I look at Raiduh James and see how he pumps up his team incessantly like they're superbowl contenders, yet they suck. So cheering for an alma mater now means that you have a big mouth?

Even in the original post, I placed BSU in the hometown whateverthefucknameitis Bowl, rather than glossing them to a larger bowl birth.

Not to mention when you play in the WAC, scheduling teams from the BCS conference with the nearest geographical proximity is about the most that one can expect. The Washington contract was only signed 4 freaking years ago....who would've known back then how the Huskies would pan out over the next several recruiting classes.

So please forgive me for not attending University of Southern California or Ohio State or Floriduh. I went to Boise Freaking State, thus when they have a season like they did last year, you can be damned sure I'm going to be proud of it.

Well... if you taunt them enough in the offseason they do.

I look at Raiduh James and see how he pumps up his team incessantly like they're superbowl contenders, yet they suck.
Whatever point you were trying to make, it's falling on deaf ears. Raiderfan is its own subspecies, and shouldn't be used to compare/contrast any other sports fan. Hell, they just celebrated their 15th consecutive Super Bowl victory, for chrissakes.

The Washington contract was only signed 4 freaking years ago

After the ship began to sink and they posted a 7-6 record after winning the Rose the year before?

....who would've known back then how the Huskies would pan out over the next several recruiting classes.

We had a pretty good idea.

Sin,
Colorado Buffalo Fans

Where is Boise's game with Hawaii this season? Hawaii could be a team that can beat Boise, especially if the game is in Honolulu.

And I'm pissed off that by far the best high schooler in the state went to Boise. Most of the big boys didn't want anything to do with a 185 pound RB.

But he'll bulk up. And you guys will be quite happy. Probably the most talented high school RB I've ever seen, and has absolutely amazing "field vision."

I'm pretty sure Paul Weatheroy is still committed to BSU, although he was thinking Ivy League, too.

You'll dig him... coming from the #1 high school sports program in the country(as per Sports Illustrated). I think he's got potential to drop some jaws. And as we all know "potential" and $3.50 gets you a cup of Starbucks. But I'd say the odds of a bust are pretty low.

You'll dig him.

I dunno -- Mouse isn't the "offensive consultant" anymore. Although I think after 30 years together, Junebug probably knows how to throw up the big scores, too.

Someone needs to get to scheduling a Hawaii/Portland State game here soon. What an awesome grudge-match that would be.

Given that they still don't play anybody and continue to beat their chests as if they are national contenders, they're really not worth hating.

BSU is kind of like a gnat ... annoying, but eventually you know they're going to get swatted, even by a little girl, one of these days.

I'd rather "still not play anybody" and win them all than play a decent schedule and wind up with your season being considered meaningless.

meaningless to who-you?
As I told some Boise fans right before the Fiesta Bowl: Even if OU wins this game, it's a disappointing season for OU, and it's Boise's greatest season ever. Kind of puts things in perspective.
I love the way OU fans seem to gird themselves for disappointment.....

true story...I was out playing golf a couple of weeks ago and ended up playing with a guy who graduated from OU...seems like it was Boise State day out at the course because there was lots of BSU gear to be seen everywhere.....

so I'm playing the 14th hole when a couple of younger guys roll up to talk to one of the other guys in the foursome...one of the younger guys was Marty Tadman...

when they left, I looked over at Tyler (the guy from OU) and said "do you know who that guy with all the tat's is?" "No, who is it" "that's Marty Tadman, one of the guys that broke your heart"

but I'll give him this...he's one of only a handful of OU people that I've talked with that admitted that if that punt hadn't gone off the BSU guys foot, Boise is stepping on OU's neck.....it wasn't even close prior to that fateful kick

Just as meaningless as every other team that wasn't Florida. Congratulations on winning an exhibition game.

Um, OK. See, OU fans (prior to idiots one and two) were thinking national title last year. Several publications were thinking the same thing.

True story: this one time I was getting my cock sucked by Ian Johnson's fiancee and I gacked on a beanie. I guess it was OU day at the gang bang, because the other ten guys in line to receive her services were all wearing OU gear.

Something that Boise State fan doesn't seem to realize: the Fiesta Bowl is nice and all, but it's just not the be-all/end-all. You fuckers act like you won the damn all-time Super Bowl against a combined squad of the 1970s Steelers, 1980s 49ers, and 1990s Cowboys.

Props on the win. Boise played a hell of a game. Give it a fuckin' rest already.
Sorry BtH I don't blame them and don't hold it against them. I wouldn't give it a rest either. It's the most important... let me rephrase that it's about the only important win their program has ever had. I'd ride it like the school whore at the prom.

i don't deny them respect. i just think the national media should see that this was an OU team that over-achieved the second half of the season and sold out to the blitz to mask suspect db play. a team of sophomores and few seniors.....not some awesome, vintage CFB juggernaut that the Bad News Bears upset. Boise was very good football team.

my hat is, and has been off to BSU since the game ended. but, as a Sooner fan it gets tiring to hear all the ESPN wanks yak about this game like it was the first time they got laid (when they were 27).

edit: last year's OU team was BY FAR the weakest Big XII champion since 01 Colorado.

"The BCS conference." Hopefully that's not what you meant. Boise St. won't get much respect until they start playing the big boys on the road. I'll respect the Boise State program when they take notes from another team from the WAC... "Anytime, anywhere." I wonder who said that. When you figure it out, go look at who they schedule non-conference over the last decade or so and get back to me.

Once you figure it out, then correct your irrational exhuberance on your statement (although said program was down last year, will be down this year, and loses to BSU).

Seriously though, until you guys seek out the big boys and play THEM on the road then you have nothing to whine about. Oh, and they will never go to play at BSU on the Smurf Turf as they have nothing to win and no payout on top of that. If BSU signs a home and home with "the BCS conference" then I guarantee you they will buy out the return game. Then you will be stuck with a home game hole in the schedule where you call up your nearby AD buddy at Portland State to take Texas Tech's buyout.

BSU really need to PROVE it can play with the big dogs and I don't see you clowns paying your dues by going to their crib and not getting a return game. PLUS, your players will get physically pounded, injured, gimped and be out for the rest of the season due to playing physically superior afletes.

Boise State fan, your program has a lot to prove.

My bad. Not "THE" BCS conference, but the reference was obviously towards the Pac-10, which is "a" BCS conference that is nearest the WAC, geographically speaking.

Once you figure it out, then correct your irrational exhuberance on your statement (although said program was down last year, will be down this year, and loses to BSU).
I'd assume you have better comprehension than you let on, so I'll help a little.

What part of my original post consists of "irrational exuberance" (notice how a BSU grad can spell exuberance correctly)
In an attempt to increase the Strength of Schedule, the Boise State Broncos are playing Washington this year in Seattle. If they get by those Huskies, they can probably run the table with those shitty WAC teams (at least we're not the Mountain West).
emphasis added.

So, we're attempting to increase the strength of schedule and can probably run the table of shitty WAC teams.

Hmmm, sounds like a breath full of irrational exuberance.

Everybody looking for a freaking fight. :sheesh:

And a victory over Oklahoma still doesn't prove shit. What do we have to prove? That we're a Top 25 team? Cool, been there, done that, and pretty happy with it. End of Story.

What the fuck is your point?

BSU has been scheduling PAC teams. Playing this year in Seattle. The schedule for the next three-four years is already complete. So for scheduling purposes, they're looking for teams to play in 2011-2012. Since a team only gets 3-4 non conference games per year, there's not a lot that can be done that hasn't been worked on. So we have WAshington, Washington State, Oregon, Oregon State in the next 4 years. Doesn't give much room to add in a USC or Miami or FSU, now does it?

So you want me to address what? Scheduling? There you have it. The schedule is consistently getting stronger and stronger....but if you want a matchup with Ohio State, its going to be 2011 at the earliest....so you wanna go back and forth about something that is contractually impossible to happen for another four years? Suit yourself. The conversation just seems futile to me.

Yeah, that's it.

The only thing stopping BSU from multiple H&Hs with USC is a lack of room.

Damn that schedule... poor BSU had to say "sorry, we're all full up" when Miami came looking for the H&H.

let me ask you something Dins....

do you honestly think Boise State is afraid of Miami...in one sentence you say Boise State has an over inflated opinion of themselves, and then in the next imply they're skirting Miami because they're afraid of them....

make up your mind
