I think the Niners are the best money at 25-1. I expect them to at least make the playoffs.

Their receiving core was positively dreadful last year and has to improve with the Lelie and Jackson signings. Also had some decent defensive signings in Clements and Lewis. If Smith continues to improve at QB and Gore becomes the monster RB he appears to be, look out.

We all know the NFC is weak and a team can come out of nowhere. Who the fuck had the Bears winning the NFC last year? Will San Fagcisco beat SD, Indy, or NE in the Super Bowl? Probably not... but at 25-1, sure... I'd take a flier. Plus, Mike Nolan wants to look all Hank Stram on the sidelines. Fucking old school. Who doesn't like that?

Felix,
Lelie's last two years in Denver were decent. His star was on the rise. He spent last year playing in Wide Receiver Purgatory. Michael Vick could make Jerry Rice circa 1993 look average.

We shall see... I'd take Lelie over Arnez Battle anyday.

his last two years in Denver were "okay", but I always thought the guy was not much more than an underperforming malcontent....

I'm sure he hasn't changed much.....

malcontent with potential vs. wastewad overhyped Domer that's caught a total of 100 passes in four years for a whopping 1,200+- yards....

yeah, I see your point

I think ucant has the right idea in looking for an NFC team to break through like da Bearz did last year.
The AFC looks more top heavy and difficult to break through in.

With that in mind, I'm torn between Philadelphia and New Orleans, both at 20-1.

As a long shot to waste a few bucks on, I'd look at St. Louis at 50-1.

The AFC is tougher. By the time the postseason is wrapping up, they've beaten each other up pretty good.

Therefore, I suggest that the AFC teams should schedule their interconference games against Arena League opponents.

Have you ever posted in the NFL forum on these boards, Luth? Not that I can recall...

This is indeed a Red letter day.

KC at 50 to 1?

IN!

Yes, but not that much. I always read any threads either by the Raiders or Chiefs fans as it can always get to be entertaining. Between you, Paul, Poptart, KCScott and RaiderJames, it is always true football smack, ctrl smack, town smack etc.

Me? Shit, we suck so bad here we don't even have a team. I'm kind of a Bears fan since I spent a lot of time in Nebraska and we got most of the Chicago games on the tube as I was growing up.

Watching the Galloping Ghost as a wide-eyed teenager on a grainy B&W T.V. probably didn't do justice to just how good Red Grange was, huh Luth?

anyone have the futures for team wins?

i'm curious as to how many wins the bookies think tampa will have. if tampa is 8-9 i will fly out and unload on the under. a bad team who still has no franchise wr. still no qb, and still a bad coach and gm. god bless kiffin, if not for his defense, this team would be lucky to win 2 games.

oh lordy, please, someone kill chucky. or take the glazers out in old trafford

7-7.5 is the U/O I've seen for Tampa Adel.
