PITTSBURGH (AP) -- A man with a history of impersonating Pittsburgh Steelers players was given jail time Wednesday for persuading a woman to loan him $3,200 while he pretended to be tight end Jerame Tuman.

Brian Jackson, 33, of Brentwood, pleaded guilty to one count of theft by deception and one count of identity theft. He was sentenced to 90 days in jail and placed on probation for five years.

Jackson met the woman through a friend in March 2006 and he told her he was Tuman, Assistant District Attorney Debra Barnisin-Lange said.

The woman gave him money on several occasions. Jackson was arrested after she sent a letter to Tuman through the Steelers asking for the money back. Tuman turned the letter over to Steelers security.

"It seems like you have a penchant for doing this," Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge Gerard Bigley said. "If you ever come back here again, I'm going to send you to a state prison."

In 2005, Jackson was charged with impersonating quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and his backup, Brian St. Pierre, to meet women. He was ordered to undergo counseling and sentenced to 30 days in jail after pleading guilty to a reduced charge of disorderly conduct.

"I'd like to apologize to (the victim) and Mr. Tuman," said Jackson, who repaid the money and must report to jail by Aug. 24. "My actions have caused a mess."

Jackson's attorney, James Sheets, asked for probation, but Bigley said, "I don't think 90 days in jail is going to kill him."

Pretty good effort for Cooter. He obviously didn’t Ctrl-C that "take".

This doesn't make sense. A) Why would a football player need to borrow money from a hookup? B) who the hell was the friend??! was the friend in on these impersonation schemes, as well, or did the friend think that this person was a football player? C) what kind of fool needs to pretend to be a football player to get laid? what kind of women are so stupid as to be fooled by some dude who says he's a football player? D) what kind of jacked up name is 'Jerame Tuman'? (or is that derision only saved for black players around here)

I don't know, do these dudes all look the same to y'all? Tuman looks
Badfish-esque, but only because of the hat. Looks much better
with the 5 O'clock shadow; looks like the Engineer of BS:G cleanshaven,
which still ain't bad, it just ain't five o'clock shadow. He should stop being
so glum, and stop hanging out with folks with stupid tattoos,
even if they are teammates.

St. Pierre is edging into 'pretty eyes' territory. Is he gay?
Do gays want him to be? He's so fucking chipper, while Tuman
is so fucking glum.

Roethlisberger looks like a lumberjack with facial hair, stunning transformation
when he's cleanshaven. He should always be cleanshaven. None of
these dudes look the same to me.... but who knows out in the real world.
Pictures sometimes don't mean shit, particularly if folks are always around one
another, they start to take on each other's facial tics. Would Jackson have to
wear colored contacts when he was pretending to be St. Pierre, or is that just
a trick of lighting?
