saw the latest version of Big Star play about a year ago. Every Alex song sounded like a 45 played on 33.

yeah, i haven't been real impressed with the recent "Star" live stuff you see on youtube.
i'd rather load up the Chris Bell solo LP on winamp than go pay and see Alex do his "I'm too ironic to really try these days" thing he's been doing since about High Priest came out.
