My son's birthday is next week so I roll out to purchase him a full sized FSU collecters helmet. I had some time to kill after the purchas so I roll down to Doak Cambell stadium to see who might be hanging out to autograph my new purchase.
I get my story together how its his birthday next week, he is a die hard Noles fan, it would mean so much to him to have it autographer, blah blah blah. I make it past the receptionist. Boom, up to the 3rd floor, football operations. I'm feeling it so I push on with the story getting past the 3rd floor receptionist. Obsticle number 3, the lady in charge of memorabilia signing. She buys it and within seconds I'm pleading my case to Bobby's secretary. Turns out the ole boy was'nt there today as he was out doing speaking engagements. Story was working but the timing was'nt. I was 2 feet from where Bowden naps, his office and seemingly my luck runs out. I start to leave but first I need to take a look around. The trophies from all the bowl games and nat. titals were awesome. Thje place was covered with pictures of former all americans.
As I was leaving I bump into Chuck Amato. I welcome him back and give him my story.
He takes the helmet and says he needs to find a sharpie. 10 minutes later he returns and the helmet is autographed by the ENTIRE fsu coaching staff, excluding Bobby.SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET. Needless to say I am jacked to the ceiling as I look forward to giving it to my boy next week.

War everything FSU

Good story. I got a signed football by Bobby back when I was in school. Looking forward to the season starting up.

Kinda beats the Leeland McElroy signed mini helmet I have for my kid.

You need to go back and get Bowden's Hancock on there though to make that thing priceless.

If you hung out near Doak, there is no way Bobbah would turn down signing your helmet. Excellent story. When I have my first born, I have an authentic, 1995 Irish football guide with Lou Holtz and Bob Davie's scribble.

Is it possible that made is less valuable than before?

For sure. Holtz's autograph brings it back up to the cost of the program. The interesting thing is I got that in the middle of when Davie was stabbing the old man in the back. I probably saw the shank.
