Unwar Bryant Gumbel as a play-by-play man (zzzzzzz)

The only thing worse is having to suffer through Chris Collinsworth's "color" commentary. What I learned from yesterday's Hall of Fame Game.
1. Coaches want to see players compete
2. Coaches are looking for guys who are "physical".
3. Collinsworth is a retard.

The game is played in Quarters, Gumbel, not periods- Quarters. How the fuck can he be a play by play guy if he can't even get the terminology correct?
Collinsworth is terrible as well but I think he's too distracted by how big a jackass Gumbel is that he can't build a solid statement from anything his partner says because Gumbel gives him nothing to work with.

Well, maybe that's because Collinsworth doesn't bother to do even basic pre game preparation. His verbal diarrhea about Tomlin's practice schedule was nothing short of laughable. Yea, Tomlin has "scheduled" a shitload of two a days. But even a cursory look at the local Pittsburgh media would have told him that Tomlin is not exactly trying to make "Junction Boys II" in Latrobe.
Friday morning's practice is precisely why Steelers' fans shouldn't be going ga-ga over those 15 scheduled two-a-days in coach Mike Tomlin's first training camp.
There was no hitting of any sort in the one-hour session featuring special teams. In fact, the offensive line, defensive line and quarterbacks were dismissed along with veteran wide receiver Hines Ward and rookie linebacker Lawrence Timmons, who tweaked his groin Thursday morning.
Not only was the weather surprisingly cool, but the action was light. Much lighter than Wednesday's two-a-days leading off with a one-hour special teams practice in the morning involving more running and physical contact than what took place Friday morning.
So far, those dreaded two-a-days have been a tad overrated.
Thursday's two-a-day sessions were the most physically demanding of the week, with two-hour practices in the morning and afternoon. However, Tomlin dismissed the team early Thursday afternoon.
Tuesday's scheduled two-a-days featured a morning practice and a toned-down afternoon practice in the gym because of rain.
Friday's two-a-days were scheduled to include a 7 p.m. practice at Latrobe High School, weather permitting. Of the four scheduled two-a-days this week, only two -- Wednesday and Thursday -- have been the stuff of players' nightmares.

Is it asking an alleged "insider" too much to do his fucking homework before he spews off at the mouth?

Yep, and when advancing the ball past midfield, a team is then moving
down to such and such yard line, not
up to. That annoyed the shit out of me in the Thanksgivivng game last year.

Speaking of the atrocity that is Bryant Gumbel, Steeler’s 3rd string QB (St. Pierre) came in late in the first quarter for a couple of plays before time ran out. After the commercial, Gumbel announced that St. Pierre was in for his second drive of the night. Apparently since they were moving in a different direction, it was a different drive. Absolutely horrible.
I think there should be a contest in here for every game he does. See who can come up with the worst mistake he makes during the course of the game. Then send the whole thread off to the NFL Network.

SopCast failed for the Raider game this week.
Worked last week for the Ram game.
This week, just some frenchie faggot broadcast -- followed by Leno.
Better work next week for the opener or I'm moving back to the America .... if I can find it on a map.

Do any of these sites carry the Big Ten Network? One hour from kickoff and I'm thinking I'll have to listen to the Michigan game on the radio.

Last season, TVU would have CBS and NBC on a weekly basis, albeit with a serious weight towards West Coast teams.
Sopcast usually throws up 3 or 4 games every Sunday.

I'm sure there out there somewhere. But this I know for sure. And that is that I was able to download an excellent quality rip of the Michigan-Appalachian State game off 10 yard torrents in about 1 hour.

Legit question, PD. I have no smack agenda here ... just curious.
You don't post a great deal in here, save to bump these streaming threads and tout your signature links.
Enlighten me on the stream-bumping.

Like I said, this wasn't meant to be confrontational. I was genuinely curious and decided to ask.

Only reason for the 9 early games is that CBS has to show the US Open in the late slot. Lame IMO, putting that up against Week 1 of the NFL.

I'm here in San Diego working my ass off, but thanks to the web haven't missed a game yet. Yesterday we were in our server room running 4 laptops with different games on each. One guy uses a software called ORB to stream his NFL Sunday ticket from his house, so that gets us one game of our choice and the rest we were grabbing through SOPCast and TVU. I have also used PeerCast and PPLive with some luck to watch the WorldCup.

Just about everything is on at 1pm eastern. My local coverage here in CT is going to show the Chargers game. So about all it's good for is to surf over towards the Browns game at 1 and the Raider game at 4.
Really...every game I would've watched is already being locally broadcast....Weak week for the service.
That's rich, given you'd rather suck a Yankmee's dick than watch an NFL game. You've posted as much.
Oh, wait, you're trolling again, right?
