Can't say I really understand this move. I know Trot has lost a step- but they have no one else to play the middle right now that is better than him- even at 75% of what he used to be. Gaither was decent- but don't know if he is a starter

Shame- he is a great guy and I hope he catches on somewhere.

Trot was, at best a 2 down back and a severe liability against the pass. He was exposed by the Saints in the playoffs last year. That being said, the Eagles were terrible against the run too so they must think the DTs are a lot stronger that they can go with Gaither.. I would not be suprised to see Spikes eventually get moved to the middle though.

Trot was a warrior and I hope he catches on somewhere in the AFC.
