Ok, so this hasn't been brought up on here, so I better smack my own then....

If you haven't heard, Iowa WR's Dominique Douglas and Anthony Bowman have been busted for credit card fraud and are going to be kicked off the team. Dominique (a true sophomore) was our top WR last year and led all freshmen in the country in receptions. So, not a great start to the season for the Hawkeyes.

There's more to the story.....

DD and Bowman decided it would be cool to create a Facebook page and show off their new gear. That's pretty much how they got caught from what I've heard. Pictures have surfaced on the internet (no, not photoshopped ones, real ones!) of them in thug gear. Baggy jeans, gold chains, and holding wads of cash and expensive bottles of Vodka.

Fortunately, this is a deep position for Iowa, but still this story is very irritating. Douglas is a big loss. Bowman I couldn't care less about, but losing Dominique will hurt. These guys are facing some serious felonies in Michigan and are going to be spending some time in the hole.

how is claybourne doing this year?

he was a huge loss 2 years ago to iowa.


is he playing the dline or slimming down to play LB? he was a hitting muther at LB, but heard his weight went up and he was being recruited to mainly a DL psoition

He's up to over 270 now and I've heard good things about him in practice. He's listed on the 2-deep behind Iwebema and Mattison. Most likely will be 1st sub in and a starter next year. I'm excited to see him play.

Douglas and Bowman are morons.

I'm kinda undecided right now. I like the more classic look but was maybe expecting a little more. I was hoping they would include a real gold like back in the day. I guess I like the uniforms, but not sure on the helmets yet. I'm sure they will grow on me. I am definitely happy for the change....as long as they stick with them.
