Are there any hunters here of the morchella mushroom on here? I always find it incredibly interesting that they sell for such incredibly high prices. Anybody tried them?

Yes, I do. Every late April through mid-May here in my parts. No where else in the country can you find morels like you can in the midwest.
Still difficult to find, even if you have your 'honey spots'. In the end, even you don't find any that particular day, it was always a good walk in the woods.

Do you eat them or sell them? Just curious. How are they? Have never tried.

I eat 'em. Never have enough time to hunt and find enough to sell.
Hard to explain the taste. It's really not all that indifferent from many other mushrooms. They've got a slightly 'nutty' taste to 'em. Very smooth tasting.

So it’s an annual occurrence then. Ken’s placing of Pittsburgh into the Midwest. You and OCMike could get lost together.
