Defense was the question coming into the season. Armanti Edwards 7-7 129 yards right now. Jesus.
Henne and Hart are capable of getting into a shootout. We'll see.

Listening to the live stream of this online and I've got the State game on TV...the Sparties have to be eating this up right now with Michigan in trouble and MSU is up 42-3 in the second quarter.

Hey, I'm sure Michigan would trade that loss with you if they do end up losing today. TCU is at least a somewhat respectable opponent.

Lloyd is showing how shitty of a gameday coach he is. This team just doesn't seem ready for another team's best effort. It's easy to call plays when you've got talent but you have to motivate and lead these guys so letdowns don't happen.

They were last year...MSU might leapfrog the Wolvies if they aren't careful. I'd be willing to bet that App State would paste UAB though too...can't give State too much credit but they're at least kicking the ass of an inferior opponent.

Appalachian State HAS won the last two I-AA championships. Sure, they shouldn't be better than a top-level "Bowl Division" team, but it's not like they're completely shitty.
Exactly.
Maybe AppSt should move up.
Has a Top 10 team ever lost to a D-1AA school or lower?

I would already be watching my boys from D1-AA beat up on the #5 team in the nation.

Actually it is pretty funny.
But I'd be very surprised if Mich doesn't come-back and win.

If this holds into the 2nd half, ESPN better switch to it.

DirectTV has it. Comcast does not.
I would switch to DirectTV but tUNA plays on Comcast Sports South on Sept. 13 and Oct. 18.

Don't know if it'll happen...the BTN is affiliated with FOX. The reason why DirecTV has it is because Murdoch owns both FOX and DirecTV.

I've been flipping between the CSU-CU (FSN) and the EC-VaTech games. If Fox switches to it, I'll post here ASAP.

31-20...I can't believe holding App State to a field goal would be such a big deal but it is. Time for Henne and Co. to step up and punch in a TD now.

1-AA?
WTF are you talking about. Someone missed a memo.
It's the Football Championship Subdivision. Do try and keep up.
Not sure I want a chip on Michigan's shoulder going into next week.

Oregon is going to give Michigan just as much trouble next week with Dixon and Stewart...Michigan once again can't handle a dynamic offensive attack. App State is puzzling them and Oregon should do the same. What's worse is Michigan's offense is sputtering...they can't even keep up with the Mountaineers offensively and this was hyped up to be one of the best attacks in the country.

Hopefully...it sounds like Hart is healthy enough to play. Minor has done fairly well but he has put the ball on the rug today.

Shoalzie wrote:Oregon is going to give Michigan just as much trouble next week with Dixon and Stewart
Dunno on either.
Dixon may or may not even play. He got in the doghouse bigtime by playing minor league baseball instead of college football. Bellotti made it pretty clear he was pissed. I don't really know his standing here recently, I haven't heard much about it. Leaf is a better passer anyway, and might do a better job of feeding the dominant recieving corps. Dixon is much more active in the pocket, and a running threat at any time, but... well, picture Michael Vick -- has a hard time hitting the broad side of a barn with a bowl of pudding.
And Stewart... ahhhh, Franchise. Certainly one of the more exciting recruits in recent memory. All that talent. All those moves. That bruiser of a body. And the gonads of a 3 year old. "Whaaaaa, I stubbed my toe! Coach, that big bad man tried to hit me!"
That shit has gotten old in the last two years. BUT, he claims he's learned to play hurt over the summer, and is going to get the ball more. I sure hope so. He had/has the potential to be an all-time great, and he's yet to find that extra gear to get him there, two years down. I think his developement is maybe the biggest key to Oregon's season. If he brings a gameface for the first time, watch out. Fortunately, his running mate, Jeremiah Johnson is quite comptetent as well. He'll step up if Stewart shows up as a pussy again.
And these questions will be answered in about a half hour. Yeahhhhhhh, buddy.
