Defense is not allowed in the Big East.
Prediction for later in the season:
Louisville: 146
WVU: 237

While that may be true for Louisville and, to a certain degree, WVU, the Big East does have a few very good defenses in Rutgers, Cincinnati and USF.

gotta give the 'Ville credit. they pitched a big shut out in the 3rd Quarter to pull it out.

The coach for Midd Tenn St has a pretty good coaching pedigree...in Bobby Bowden, Tommy Bowden, Steve Spurrier, Ken Hatfield, Tommy Bowden, Lou Holtz.
Not bad coaches to learn from....

The Big East went 5-0 in bowl games last year.
They're perfectly content with their "defensive problems" I'm sure.

Hey, at least they won. Michigan would've folded like a lawn chair.

two years ago MTSU "upset" Vandy at Vandy with Jay Cutler...and it was the game that cost VU from being bowl eligible for the first time since Moses descended the mountain with stone tablets. same Vandy team that took UF to 2 OT at the Swamp.

Even Murray State racked up over 300 yards of offense on Louisville. Pat White and Steve Slaton have to be licking their chops at the yards that they will put up on Louisville's D.

Some coach must've read the Cards the riot act at the half....they allowed only 7 points in the 2nd. The Indianapolis Colts finally realized that high scoring offenses are nice....but solid defense wins championships. UofL needs to find the same revelation....and soon.
Mucho....the Bulls raced by the Cards a couple years back. This year?

If their D doesn't improve at all, then we should be able to run all day on them. We have good corners to cover Douglas and Urrutia, so we should be ok. We brought Brohm on his backside more times than I can remember, so I would think he'll be seeing a good deal of pass rushers all night.
We still have a ways to go though, so thankfully this game is in November.
