Yes, there was a penalty on ND. There should have been an ejection.

Not to pile on but there was a play in the ND game against GTech where Zbikowski showed up to the pile after the tackle was made, and pushed off some guy's ribs with one of his legs. Not to the degree of a Marcus Vick, but definitely a cheap shot.

Yeah, no shit, PSU. For much of the game, I couldn't believe that he wasn't ejected, especially given that the ref was right fucking there.

I think one of those 2 ND players is one of the guys Weis had elected as a Captain for the team, dont expect Cheesesteak to discipline one of his captains I guess

The Official was a foot away and didnt throw a guy out of the game after the guy removed an opponents helmet and punched him in the head while his buddy helped hold him down. Was Justin Brown suspended for the game vs Penn State or did he play (I honestly dont know the answer) if he was playing vs Penn State and was ejected in the game vs Georgia Tech, what makes you think Cheesesteak will do anything about Thomas?

My issue is first with the officials. Is there any reason not to eject them right there?

Also, the PSU player (Jerome Hayes) was chewed out by Paterno as he came off the field. While that's not remarkable in and of itself, did Weis say a word to them? I think he should have.

I'm not trying to pile on - I just think this was a case where ejections were clearly warranted.

The officials fucked this up. Its Weis' job to correct it. If thay player is in the game next week, then the NCAA should step in for that kind of behavior.

Notre Dame is looking dirty right now. I hate that for them, because they are usually a good school with standup behavior unlike the southern schools.

The first video doesn't clearly show a punch thrown. If a punch was thrown then he must be ejected by rule. Too bad that video replay doesn't show it without a doubt. Impossible to tell from that if the referee made the correct call or not.

You're right, you can't see a punch landing. What you can see is Hayes's helmet on the turf right after the punt, and Thomas's arms flailing in to the area of Hayes's unprotected head. Maybe the officials didn't see anything - I guess they'd have to in order to make the ejection. Usually, the camera doesn't stay on these little altercations, this time, it did.

if it was on NBC, they would have said that Hayes provoked it.
