1. Getting a new dell laptop that dosen't work and having the new IT dept. talk to you like your a mongoloid when you ask why shit wo't load, connect or work

2. Having a database in Lotus that won't convert to outlook and then looking at manually entering 1,200 or so contacts.

3. Getting your blackberry back (twice) and each time there is something new wrong

4. Having the IT guy start speaking french when your talking to him

More to come

Your company uses Lotus Notes?

Turn around now and walk away. Never look back.

Hard to believe you had to fly to Montreal, miss the draft, etc for such pedestriam work. Props on your new data entry position though.

Well?

You can take Scott out of Blue Springs, but you can't take Blue Springs out of Scott. South got over, btw. I'm sure you knew that.

Imagine how Oak Park is going to slide when Staley HS opens next year.

I just had to see what this thread was about... KC Scott started it and War Wagon was the last post, and Toddy chimes in....

Nice discussion on keyboarding, forklift driving and suicide threats.

Hey dude... the boss is a fucking jerk right ??

I looked to me like he was using Lotus Notes and couldn't get his old database to import to Outlook.

Now that I look back at it you're probably right. I had to go in the opposite direction last year when a large company that was using Lotus "absorbed" our small group. It took a major effort to convert our email files and I don't think they ever did get the contacts converted. Luckily I turned around and walked away after about 6 months. Now I'm back on outlook, but our largest client uses Lotus. I guess communicating with plain text email makes things simpler in some ways.

Bri wns.

Damn..... even a Dooron sighting - is it that slow up in this?

As for BS vs. BSS - The KCStar is major fucked up.
They didn't even have BSS ranked in the top 5 in the city, and yet South is ranked # 1 in 6A for MO.
Go figure.

I'll guarantee South wins state again this year, and probably next. That Jr. QB Dalton is the next Chase Danials and I wouldn't be surprised if Yoder ends up coaching Division 1 next year. If you watched that state championship vs. St. Louis CBC last Thanksgiving, you know exactly what I mean.

BTW - The new Dell sucks vs. my old Thinkpad. And while Lotus was slow and cumbersome, I'm still not thrilled with outlook and their "database" application. I enetered over 400 of my contacts - one ata fucking time. I'm sure there are some shortcuts, but it's not like they gave me a manual or I really have time to scour the MS online help bullshit either.
