USC vs. NE

While I'd really like to see Nebraska return to their rightful place among the CFB elite, something inside just can't pass up the opportunity to see Callahan's face late in the fourth quarter down three or four scores.

I'll always respect the Husker program, but I wouldn't piss on Callahan if he was on fire.

Someone just woke up the Red Sea.

Btw, Sooner Nation is screaming their collective lungs out for NU.

GO NU!

This doesn't look like any NU team I've seen in recent years.

Callahan is calling an aggressive game, for certain, but his kids are executing beautifully so far.

He's a greedy bastard, too. If they grab a lead, he'll push down on the pedal even harder.

Who would have thought that SC would have 205 rushing yards at the half and NU 195 passing.

The SC line is opening holes that I could run through. Where are the LBs?

Goodnight, Bill.

Loved your halftime adjustments.

This is going to be a looooooooooooooooooooooong 5 years until Bill leaves or finally fires his POS shit friend Cosgrove as our DC.

I swear BC thinks that he knows all. Clearly, something is getting lost in the mix. From the start, our players have been making stupid mistakes on offense and even bigger mistakes on Defense.

They looked great on that one drive. Then they stopped passing. Great adjustment by Callahan.

Callahan must be so proud of the way his team hung 21 on SC in the 4th. :meds:

some very questionable calls by the refs in that game... The one on Maualuga on the FG??? WTF? the defense cant call audibles? he leaned in and said something to the DT, who then shifted and then the flag was thrown And the PI they called on Mays Int... that was a home team being blown out call if I ever saw one. The non calls were as bad, I think Sedric Ellis still had to Huskers holding him when he got on the bus to go back to Omaha

Glad to see O'Dowd develop, somebody better tell Spanos the Pat O'Hara story

I disagree about the officiating. That definitely was interference. It wasn't on purpose but dude stumbled and impeded the receiver. As far as the "false snap" call on the field-goal, how do you know dude was audibling? You don't know what happened any more than I do. Of course dude is going to deny he did it. Both lines grabbed their share of jersey, maybe Neb got away with a little more but that is it.

In terms of the game I was quite disappointed in Neb's play. I didn't expect us to win, just wanted us to be competitive and look like we have our act together. We obviously didn't

Cosgrove's D is a joke, they parted like the Red Sea and couldn't tackle to save their lives. USC would've blown it open earlier if their wr's had held onto the ball in the firs-half. It is just sad that USC didn't even have to be multiple and put-drives-together to score. They just buttfucked us in the mouth going up the middle. I thought Coz was a cronie-hire from the beginning, wish he'd quit proving me right.

On O our run-game was flat-out pathetic. We were losing the war in the trenches and Lucky is a pretty-average back that just-happened to come in with a lot of hype. Wouldn't surprise me to see his ass get passed on the depth-chart just like last year. Why were doing all these dink-routes that were eventually going to get picked? Garbage-time points would mean something if we were a MAC/1AA-team, but since we are supposed to be good enough to keep the opposition's subs off the field those points mean shit.

BC trying to save-face after Carroll graciously called-off the dogs was bullshit. I can somewhat accept leaving our starters in but if the only reason you are scoring is that the opposition has subs playing laid-back D you shouldn't be calling time-outs, going-for-two, and on-siding. I think Carroll was kinda pissed and he had every right to be.

Props to Pete on a well-coached, classy game. Callahan, eat a dick.

He did. It had a Trojan on it.

Nice post. I didn't think Nebraska would have much success running the ball and as you know they didn't. I don't think many teams are gonna be successful throwing 50+ times a game aganst SC. That's just too one-dimensional against that defense.

I would say USC has the best D we'll see all season, OU's might be better, but we'll have to make it to the con-chamionship to find-out. We had no O in the second-half til USC's starters came-out. Must be nice to have a coach that actually makes adjustments. You knew Keller would start tossing-picks, Pete is going to start jumping on those short-routes and clogging the passing-lanes. I like how BC started chucking it downfield left and right once the subs were in, nice, you go get those garbage-points.

Damn you Cosgrove for me having to rack this shit.

We parted like the Red Sea, maybe Cosgrove is religious.
