For all the grandstanding that apologists like me have done, it is very clear to me that NU still has some holes to fill before they can play with the big boys. Here's some things that NU has to clearly improve upon before they are truly back.

• Bigger, meaner defensive tackles.
  Faster, taller receivers. It's inexcusable to me that in year 4 Callahan has no playmakers.
  Same for Tight Ends.
  Ax Cosgrove or take away the DC duties from him.
  Sound tackling would be a start.

Clearly NU needs a lot more work and I was wrong about their progress...
