Title: Fuckin Pete wrote: 21 points by Nebraska in garbage time. Over 175+ yards given up in garbage time. The worst thing about being an SC fan is the 4th quarters during a blow-out. Boring as @#$#$ watching opposing 1st strings whooping your scout teams ass.

Anyway, nice win in one of the toughest stadiums in the country. Would have been sweeter had Pete shut them down at the end but whatever.

SC now has a few weeks to work out the kinks with the receivers and corners.
*guy* was too kind wrote: usc gives up OVER THIRTY!

NEB obviously dominated the usc defense.

usc is totally screwed if they ever lose their remaining 9 #1 guys on D.
Title: Did anyone really expect anything different today? wrote: I told you people how to beat USC.

It's not hard.

Take advantage of Pete's bend over take it up the ass tampax 2 backpedalling defense.

He doesn't cover anyone.

The underneath is open all freaking day.

Pete doesn't give a shit about special teams. Never has.

Pete demands running to set up the pass.

It's his team. It's as easy to read as a children's book.

Recruit. Oh ya. Pete can bullshit with the best of them None better. He can sell horsehit to a horse or ice to an eskimo,

Predictable.

It's up to Booty. He takes this team on his back and maybe someone catches the ball. Mix in a little gable and the tight end.

Pete would give up 20 points to a pop warner team.

need to score 21. sc
If only these guys had been on the coaching staff for us a decade ago. We'd have already seen the NFL merge with the NCAA and the Los Angeles Trojans would have won eight or nine Lombardi trophies.

Idiots.

Sam Bradford is going to give the basketball team a much needed lift over at OUInsider.

There is a smattering of displeasure being voiced concerning Dorrell's coaching ability (or lack of) on the Bruin message boards.....

Since Urban ran up 59 vs. Tenn, they deserve to be #1.

Since OU is averaging over 60 per game vs. superior opposition, they should be #1.

Since LSU is in the SEC they should be #1.

The PAC 10 is a pussy conference and SC allowed 3 TDs in the 4th qtr. Barely even top 5 material.

He had at least 3 runs where he could've got a lot more yards with a good ol stiff arm. He kinda kept his free arm tucked in when he made contact and sorta bowled into guys. If he can figure out how to stiff arm effectively... look out.
Thanks for the expert analysis. I'm sure the coaches will focus on the young man's underachieving tendencies asap.

--Did you piss and moan about the 2 garbage-time TDs we gave up on the road against Oregon and ucla in 2002?

--Did you piss and moan about our eventual 2003 national championship team giving up 32 points to Hawai'i?

--If you were to win American Family Publishers' or Publishers Clearing House's 10 Million Dollar sweepstakes tomorrow, would you complain b/c it wasn't $11 million?

Or, for that matter, if you could time-warp back to the 1936 Olympics, would you curse Jesse Owens for "only" winning 4 gold medals on Hitler's home turf (talk abot a hostile host environment)?

--Had you been alive in 1947, would you have cursed Chuck Yeager's breaking of the sound barrier b/c his X-1 jetplane didn't actually attain an airspeed of 1000 mp/h or exceed the speed of light?

--If Pete Carroll were to discover the cure for cancer, would you whine b/c he didn't find the cure for AIDS as well?

--Since all hope for the season is obviously lost, why don't all you ingrates just pool your funds and donate a Dr. Kevorkian suicide machine for the team? I'm sure they'll be grateful to accept your offer, especially if y'all do a live product demo first. rolleyes

Dayammn. And I thought the Buckeye boards were bad. I guess there are perfectionist fans at every school.

The popularity contest that is CFB has apparently spawned a LOT of paranoia.

That he's a horrible offensive coach, and if the defense doesn't save the day we're screwed. Let's face it, Boeckman is a back-up at best, and Tressel is lost without Troy. Tresselball sucks!

BtH, you have GOT to know that, if you're reading over at insider, you're going to get a heaping dose of that crap.

Bradford's looked like a really, really good, but young, QB. He's also 3-0, so I'm down. Having Malcolm Kelly to throw the ball to helps erase a lot of potential errors...

I'm surprised that people aren't calling for Stoops' head for not giving the ball to Murray more... assuming that they aren't already. But, so far, I like what I see... I see us not just pounding the ball to a stud RB, and then trying to air it out from time to time. I see us running the short passing game; an aspect of our offense that's been lost for a while now, sadly.

I think you'll be pleased in T-Town. Feel free to hit me up when you get back in to Norman if you're there for the weekend. I'm headed to Norman on Friday morning early, and back "home" Sunday afternoon...

Hell, I remember the OU fans calling for Switzer's head if he lost 3 games in a season. I also remember half the stadium emptying out by halftime when shitty teams like Iowa State (back then) were down by 45. Across the street from the stadium (southeast side) was a bar that would fill up during halftime.

Then of course my Junior year when I transferred to USC, OU won the National Championship under Switzer.

1980-83--Switzer took a lot of heat. there was a rumor that Dick Vermeil (having just led the Eagles to the Super Bowl) had informally spoke with OU "people". at that time all the "donors" were still Wilkinson era people, former Wilkinson players, and oilmen comprised generally of the two previous categories and were not real thrilled.

O'Connell's. it's situation is currently tenuous....though i'd most certainly defer to Skull for the latest on that.

O'Connell's is closing as of the new year. OU bought that property and seems to think it'd be better served as parking. Aside from the fact that I'm a broke teacher, THAT is why I'm not a donor. I am going to miss that place terribly.

If we are going to let a football player play bball it shouldn't be Bradford but Lendy Holmes or Dominique Franks who are more athletic and actual shooters which is what the bball team is in desperate need of. We are solid at the post positions.

O'Connell's is closing for a fucking parking lot?!?!? What the fuck is wrong with the administration that they are going to destroy such a place for both the students and alums.

At least, that's the latest I've heard.
Not the same, period. Campus Corner is Campus Corner and O'Connell's is O'Connell's. They are different beasts, at least in my mind. Campus Corner is for places like Louie's and ToTo's (Gawd I Love that place and don't understand how it isn't more popular with its pizza and the best Calamari in 200 mile radius).
