1gb of space. Groups all your emails by subject. You can keep years and years of emails. Plus gmail doesn't spam you like yahoo and hotmail do. Actually the only spam I get on there after having it for months now is from yahoo because I added my gmail email account to my yahoo profile for the yahoo list crap. Anyway it works a lot better then all the other free email things out there. You can use it for your shit mail or you can use it for valid mail.
